NIT Andhra Pradesh offers admission to its BTech courses through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA)/Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme and the Study in India (SII) programme. The Institute provide admission in MTech programmes through Centralized Counseling for MTech/ MArch/ MPlan (CCMT). For admission in MS (By Research) programme, the Institute conducts written test and/or Interview. For MBA admission, a valid CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/any other national level admission test score is required. For admission to PhD programme candidate must have qualified GATE or NET in the relevant disciplines.
No, there is no reservation policy for Ph.D scholars at NIT Andhra Pradesh. However, the Institute intake students on the basis of several eligibility criteria for its Ph.D (Full-Time) Stipendiary Category, Ph.D (Full-Time) Project category, Ph.D (Part-Time) (Externally sponsored), Ph.D (Part-Time), M.S. (by Research) (Externally sponsored). In each branch, 50% of total seats are reserved for home state students and rest of the seats (50%) is for students from other states.
