Hello Abhigyaan
The scope for animation is very vast in India and abroad in India.First I wan to tell you that be unique and dont try to copy others if your working and skills are different this will surely help you in your career.
Talking about animation .Animation has an huge demand for films and other production houses.Animation and VFX both has good demand but you have to learn a lot and have that skills which match the professional style. There are lots of institute who provide courses on animation and some have jobs at higher level also.you can try animation but you have to be passionate about that.
Hey Abhigyan
Being a citizen of India I am sure you must have experienced the craze our society has for engineering (it will never be considered a bad option even though you may get paid around 15,000 for working 9 hours a day).
I will tell you the scope of Animation in India in the best 5 to 10 years.
After getting a degree in animation you may get an opportunity to work in Online and Print News Media, Cartoon Production, Movie production, Advertising, Video Gaming, Theater, Film & Television and E-learning. Even youtube is a booming opportunity for animators nowadays. An experience can lead you to get paid around 40,000 after 3 to 4 years of experience. If you learn 2D/3D animation you have lot of option to change your gears, ie switching between supportive industries: gaming, digital, web, film, TV, print or broadcast but you will always need to be updated with the latest tools and trends (it is exciting but it may be tiring unless you are gifted to be creative). The best place to learn animation is Canada (if it suits your budget). You can try Rubika(India) too as it is one of the best institutes for animation.
I hope this helped you a bit. All the best!
