EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) is a new category for which 10% of seats will be reserved in B. Tech colleges across Andhra Pradesh for the academic session 2020-21. Last year, the EWS category was included during the counselling process, which was a last-minute decision. 10% of seats are reserved for EWS category students which will help you to get better seats. So depending on your EWS category rank you can get better colleges.

AP EAMCET Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020

The candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling of AP EAMCET 2020. The web-based counselling of AP EAMCET will commence on a date specified by the authorities later. AP EAMCET 2020 counselling will include the following steps-

Payment of Fee- In the first step, candidates will have to pay the counselling fee in online mode. The counselling fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs 1000 and that for SC/ST candidates is Rs 600.

Document Verification- The verification of documents will be carried in online mode but the candidates whose documents will not be verified successfully in online mode will have to visit the helpline centres set by the authorities for document verification.

Choice Locking- After document verification, candidates will be eligible for exercising choice locking. Candidates are advised to lock maximum choices of institute and courses in order to increase the chances of admission.

Reporting at the Allotted Institute- After choice locking, the authorities will release the result of AP EAMCET 2020 seat allotment . Candidates who will be allotted seats will have to report the allotted institute to pay the fees and complete other admission formalities.

After you finish paying the processing fee, you need to click on "Verification Status".

On payment of processing fee the candidates whose certificate data is already verified through web services, will receive registration number and login id number in their registered mobile numbers. For the candidates whose certificate data is incomplete they have to attend certificate verification at nearest HLC,an sms will also be sent accordingly.

The scheduled dates for candidates to verify certificates are :-

Yes, it is compulsory for any student to avail caste category rank by their valid caste certificate. if you don't have valid caste certificate then the officials of counselling considering your common rank and not considering the caste catergory rank. so you should be update your caste certificate to avail your caste category rank in counseling. if you want more information then go through this link.

No, Osmania University, Hyderabad is in Telangana and it accepts TS EAMCET score for admission in to Engineering. It does not accept AP EAMCET score nor it participate in AP EAMCET counselling. If you want to get admission in Osmania University, Hyderabad then you need to appear for TS EAMCET and qualify in it.

KLU (Guntur)  and ViGNAN university do not offer seat through emacet exam scores. To get the seat in any brach in those universities you need to go through the seaperate exams by those universities .Based on your score you will get seat .For exams notification and details you can Check the respective university websites as well
