hello aspirant
YES in order to get admission in Naval Architecture in any IIT, you have to give JEE mains and JEE advance exam. But they are considered as one of the toughest entrance exams in india. The alternate options that would be to give other, much easier, entrance exams like IMU CET and AICET. These entrance exams will get you admission in NAval Architecture and are much easier also. You may not get a direct admission in Naval Architecture.
furthermore, the eligibility criteria for Naval Architecture is as follows :
Must have passed 10+2 from a recognized educational board with primary subjects of Physics , Chemistry , and Mathematics .
A minimum of 50% aggregate percentage is mandatory.
Further, to know more about the Naval Architecture course, in detail, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://dqxeclau.top/courses/naval-architecture-course
I hope that this will help
See, between these two, the undisputed fact it that if you want to study intensively about ship designing, then Bachelor of Technology in Naval Architecture and Ship Building is the way to go. Almost 90 percent of the core syllabus of both the branches will be same, however the remaining 10 percent is where your interest lies, so if you chose the former, then you'll get more exposure to ship building and you'll learn more insights about the deeper mechanical technologies used to achieve them.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
B. Tech in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding is a 4-year course for undergraduate students. It deals with the process of designing, maintaining, and using marine constructions.
A CET is held for admission to the four-year undergraduate engineering programme, B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, which teaches students about the design and building of maritime ships and infrastructures.
Designing ships and ship systems is the focus of naval architecture. Offshore platforms, underwater submersibles, and other structures and systems in or near the ocean are all covered under ocean engineering.

It would be extremely tough to secure an admission if you were an outside of Maharashtra candidate without any reservations. You do have a chance of admittance based on your NATA score and 12th grade results, but it's still extremely limited, so think about other options.
Visit the careers360 paper 2 college predictor using the link below to learn which b.arch institutions you can attend depending on your jee percentile.

hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing perfectly fine.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is one of the most challenging engineering exams in India. Candidates can get admission to various government and private engineering colleges with good JEE Mains percentile and rank. The JEE Main marks vs rank depend on multiple factors such as the total number of registered candidates, the number of questions asked in the paper, the difficulty level of the exam, candidates’ performance etc.
According to past years:
cutoff for ST category 2020: varies from 200 to 3000
cutoff for ST category 2019: varies from 200 to 2000
THANK YOU.
No, Indian Institute of Technologies conduct two papers to fill their seats for their flagship undergraduate programmes. The two examination are:
JEE Advanced Paper 1: This is for admission into the 4 year Bachelor of Technology course in all the 23 IITs.
JEE Advanced Paper 2: This is for admission into the B.Arch programme in some of the IITs like Roorkee, Kharagpur etc.
The papers are not same and you can give B.Arch paper only if you qualify the Paper 1. So, all the best for the same!
Hello,
With the rank you mentioned you can get seat in VIT Chennai campus. The admissions to VIT Vellore campus are around 9000 rank. So you can get admission in Vellore campus but in the second category. If you want to take admission in first category then go for the Chennai campus.

Thank You!
Hello Aspirant
The admission into Lateral Entry into engineering courses, when it comes to B.Tech Civil Engineering course, there are different entrance exams which you must qualify in order to take admission like
Now if you consider the general eligibility of the courses, you will find that, the candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects in 10+2 with 50% marks for general category and a diploma candidate of Engineering and Technology or Pharmacy courses can also apply to get the lateral entry into third semester of B.Tech course in different colleges.
Hope it helps!!!
