I have done my graduation in Civil Engineering and after that MBA in Construction Management from RICS. I have Gate score of 500 and rank AIR 593 in AR discipline. I am looking for short-duration programs after MBA. Any suggestions?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 4th Apr, 2021

hello,

Actually gate score is mostly evaluated for admission to m.tech, mba or integrated phd, study in abroad for Master of science program , recruitment in public sector hiring etc. however for short duration courses you may not find very much priority or benefits based on gate score. now  after mba you may join for skill based training program in private coaching center or online program, however there is less chances for admission based on gate score.

can i do civil engineering and architecture together (means both degrees at same time) ?

Vibhanshu 2nd Apr, 2021

Hi Vivek,

No you cannot do Civil Engineering and Architecture together. The common notion among the majority is that both of these are same, but when you pursue either of the field, you get to know how different they are. They irony is that civil engineering and architecture is slightly interconnected, if you go into one of the fields, you will surely interact with people from other domain, but at the same time they are very different, in terms of functionality.

architecture or planning which is best

ARYAN SAGAR 14th Feb, 2021
Dear student,

Choose only the course which you like between these two.
Planning is also a good course and architecture is also a good professional course.
But still in India, architecture has more scope than planning course. So if you want a wide range of job opportunity ahead then you should choose architecture branch, other wise if you want to enhance your problem and thinking abilities, then you can do the planning course. You will only become successful if you choose a branch of your choice.
So, choose wisely.

i got 87.78 percentile in jee mains paper 2 and Im from Karnataka and i belong to obc can i get into a good college can you me out with best architecture colleges in Karnataka ?

Vibhanshu 25th Mar, 2021

Hi Abhi,

You have got 87.78 percentile in JEE Mains paper 2 that means your rank should be around 17000. You can calculate it as

Rank = (100 - your percentile) × 145000 ÷ 100

Since you belong to OBC category, with this rank you have a low chance to get any government college or NITs, you may have to look out for private college.
