I have got 90 percentile in jee paper 2(b.arch) and 80% in boards(obc). Do I have any chances for architecture colleges like JJ college of Architecture/Rachna sansad, etc?

Ayush Singh 29th Oct, 2020

Hello Candidate!!

As you have mentioned your score in JEE mains, 90 percentile, it's not bad but Yes not up to the mark for taking admission in Sir JJ College of Architecture.

The cut-offs are high as it is one of the top College not only of Maharashtra, of India also. So, the cut offs for OBC candidate also lies from 94%+ in JEE Mains.

Only 67 seats are there for B.Arch in this college and many are aspirants. So, you will not get chance to take admission in this college.

I am providing you the link where you can get all the details about the College:

Manasi Kadam 24th Oct, 2020

Hello there,

Since you have mentioned that maharashtra is not a home state for you getting admission into Sir J J school of architecture seems quite difficult. You do have a way if you can produce a valid domicile certificate of Maharashtra.
also, you should note that jee or nata scores aren't applicable for admission in this college, it takes students only on the basis of MHT CET exam.

Is bundelkhand university jhansi a good choice for architecture

Atrayee Gayen 3rd Dec, 2020

Hey aspirant,

Bundelkhand University, Jhansi is not a very good college for pursuing B.Arch.

PLACEMENTS : Placements aren't good. Some of the students do their training under India's leading architects such as Hafeez Contractor. Others also either do their self-practice or working under architects in different cities. But mostly there isn't nuch Placements received from college.

FACULTIES : There have been many complaints of Faculty members not helping the students enough. Truth is if you are serious and are willing to work hard you won't face much problems. Faculty members are qualified and will help you if you seek help. But most of the work you have to do on your own.

INFRASTRUCTURE : The building is well equipped- Smart classrooms with projectors -Studio with lockers for every student -Computer lab -Wi-Fi campus are all available.

Management is not that good, there have been incidents when a certain batch's course yas extended from 5 to 7 years due to non conduction of examination and improper management.

If you get other options you can definately go for them. If you have appeared for JEE MAIN , PAPER-2 , you can predict colleges according to your NATA rank :-

I got architecture in bundelkhand university jhansi but i live in lucknow so should i take admission in babu banarsi das university in lucknow or I should go for bundelkhand university?

pkp.inutail 2nd Dec, 2020

Greetings,

try to base such decisions on these factors:

- College reputation and ranking (if the reputations are similar then the decision becomes easier)

- affordability

- distance from home as per convenience

- opportunities and college culture.

I'd assume the college culture and opportunities would be better in Lucknow rather than Jhansi so do follow the aforementioned pointers and ask your peers about opportunities and such.

good luck!
