Question : Processors contain a control unit and a/an:

Option 1: expansion slot

Option 2: port

Option 3: arithmetic logic unit (ALU)

Option 4: CD drive

Team Careers360 6th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: arithmetic logic unit (ALU)

Solution : The correct answer is the arithmetic logic unit (ALU).

Processors have an arithmetic logic unit (ALU) and a control unit. After extracting instructions from memory and decoding them, the control unit executes them. Applying arithmetic and logical operations to data is the responsibility of the ALU. The control unit and ALU work together to complete all tasks necessary for a computer to execute a program.

calculate Arithmetic mean for albumin level (g%) of 24 pre school children x f 2.90 3.75 3.57 3.45 3.73 3.71 3.55 3.84 3.72 3.30 3.88 3.62 2.98 3.76 3.61 3.38

JAYA KARTHIKA RS 23rd Sep, 2020

Hello,

Solution:

Mean = sum of value in % / Number of Children =  Σx / n

n = 24

So,

Mean  =                             (2.90+3.75+3.57+3.45+3.73+3.71+3.55+3.84+3.72+3.30+3.88+3.62+2.98+3.76+3.61+3.38) / 24    =   56.75 / 24

=2.365

Therefore, the Arithmetic mean for albumin level ( g% ) of 24 preschool children is 2.365

Hope it helps

How to start preparation for sbi po? How to get best in arithmetic topics and data interpretation?

Apoorva Lohumi 19th May, 2020

Hey aspirant

To prepare for SBI PO prelims and mains, first you need determination and dedication towards your goal.

All the sections in this exam can be solved easily within time with constant hard work and practice only. After you strengthen your basics, the most important thing next is not to make mistakes. There's a negative marking in both the papers which will cost heavy on the total marks.

For arithmetic sections, practice with a timer placed next to you. Grab study materials from wherever you can. A suggested book is

Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by Dr. R.S. Aggarwal (S. Chand Publication), which will help you in the above topics.

All the Best

A and B start from point X towards Y and C from point Y towards X simultaneously at 9 am. If the ratio of speeds of A, B and C is 5:3:4 and A meets C at 10 am at what time will A, B and C reach their destination?

Ayush 16th Nov, 2020

Ratio of A:B:C speeds=5:3:4

A and C meet after 1 hour, so the total distance traveled by them equals to 5x.60+ 4x.60, where x is in metres per minute.

So the time taken by A to reach out the distance= distance/speed= (5x+4x).60/ 5x= 108 minutes. Time taken by B and C are in the ratios by 5/3 and 5/4 which means 180 minutes and 135 minutes respectively.

Hope that you have got your answer.
