If you wish to work in private sector you can go for AMCAT that provide job opportunities to fresher as per their performance in AMCAT test.
You can contact companies asking them if they have open vacancy available. All major organization provide option to upload resume on their website in career option.
You can go for job fair organized by Government officials .
Prepare yourself as per companies skills demand .

I basically think it is your preference to use CATIA unless you are required to work in PRO-E. Otherwise there is no particular problem that I see. However it will depend upon what you are designing and if your work somewhere what they use.
