There are also second and mop-up rounds if you don’t get a seat in the first round.

Hello aspirant, With 383 marks in NEET 2025 and being from Uttar Pradesh, your chances for MBBS in government colleges are low, but you do stand a fair chance for BDS (Dental) and BAMS (Ayurveda) in semi-government or government AYUSH colleges, especially under the OBC/SC/ST quota, if applicable. For BDS, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh sometimes offer government or government-aided dental seats around the 370–400 mark in later rounds or mop-up counselling. Similarly, for BAMS, many government AYUSH colleges across states like Uttarakhand, MP, Haryana, and Karnataka offer seats in this score range, especially under the state quota.
You should definitely apply for UP state counselling and consider registering for other state counselling where open state quota is allowed. Your chances improve if you keep AYUSH and dental preferences open and actively participate in mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.
Tilak Ayurved College in Pune is a well-known government BAMS college. In 2024, the NEET cutoff for general category students was around All India Rank 44,700 in the first round and went up to around 66,000 in the second round.
So for NEET 2025, if your rank is between 45,000 and 70,000, you have a good chance of getting admission to this college. If your rank is below 45,000, your chances are even better.
To get a seat, make sure you apply through the Maharashtra state counselling or All India AYUSH counselling. Also, have your documents ready, like NEET scorecard and if you're from Maharashtra, your domicile certificate.
Hi Gary,
The best available college for BAMS in Jhansi is well known Bundelkhand Government Ayurvedic College and hospital. However, the college does NOT offer any post graduate (PG) courses. For pursuing PG after BAMS or MD in Ayurveda you will need to enroll other colleges nearby like Lalit Hari Ayurveda College in Pilibhit.
