Prepare well, give your best and hope for the best. You will definitely get admission and have a great career.

Hello,
There might be some change in seat matrix. it is unpredictable from now. if there will be any change it will be notified before the new session starts. for year 2021, it will be declared in january-februray month.
as of now 10% reservation for EWS category for IIM campus. Competition for IIM is high and selection criteria has a high bar. to get 95+ percentile in CAT is very difficult. it will take years time to practice very well to a expertise level to solve one question accurately in less time.
so key to get an admission into IIM is to practice hard n hard so that you get 92-94+ percentile in CAT. there is less chance for seat increase in coming year.
Hope it helps!
Yes absolutely. You can get into a top Bschool. I have given below the cat cutoff (OBC category) for some of the top Bschools in our country. Please refer to it to get a better idea about cutoffs and other aspects.
IIM Ahmedabad CAT Cutoff
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) - 65
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DIILR) - 65
Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 65
Overall Percentile - 75
IIM Bangalore CAT Cutoff
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) - 70
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DIILR) - 70
IIM Calcutta CAT Cutoff
Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 70
IIM Indore CAT Cutoff
Overall Percentile - 80
IIM Lucknow CAT Cutoff 2020
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) - 77
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DIILR) - 77
Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 77
Overall Percentile - 82
IIM Kozhikode CAT Cutoff
Overall Percentile – 75
IIT Bombay
Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) - 72
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DIILR) - 72
Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 72
Overall Percentile – 81
Please remember that merely clearing the cut off for cat wont guarantee you an admission into a top college. Colleges these days consider Academic diversity (Non- Engineers are given extra marks), Gender diversity ( Female candidates are given extra marks), 10th, 12th, Graduation scores, extra curricular achievements. In addition to that you need to perform well in your Group Discussion, Written Assessment Test, and Personal Interview. Make sure you give your best in all these aspects to stand a better chance of getting selected at top colleges.
You might need nothing less than 95-97 percentile. This is because FMS Delhi usually has the highest cut offs for its 200 seat intake. The selection process includes 3 stage method. They are: Eligibility Criteria Group Discussion and Personal Interview Final Selection The basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation and 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The percentiles in CAT are considered for the further rounds. In 2018, the weightage given for various sections of CAT have been as follows: QA: 30% DILR: 30% VARC: 40% An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women for shortlisting. This score is used only for shortlisting Candidates for Personal Interview. The weightage for Final selection is as follows: Personal Interview: 15% CAT score: 60% Group Discussion: 10% Extempore: 5% 10th marks: 5% 12th marks: 5% An additional 3 marks of the maximum aggregate will be added to the women candidates who have attended the Interview. Now with all this process, the cut offs is an important issue to be discussed. Previously FMS used to consider overall CAT score for shortlisting. However since the past 2 years, FMS has been giving sectional preference and weightage. VARC occupies the top position with 40% weightage. A Candidate with at least 97 sectional weightage will be shortlisted at FMS. So it is important to focus more on VARC section while not leaving other sections.
See you need to have good score in CAT basically to get eligible first and then during your personal interview or group discussion, if you have developed enough knowledge and personality, then they can surely overshadow our academic performance and grant you a seat on merit in the same college.

If you are planning to prepare for exams like cat, xat and cmat, then its suggested that you choose the Commerce branch, as it would provide you with a strong foundation for all these exams.
ALL THE BEST !
hi,
see cgpa matters a lot to admission in top bschools, however your entrance scores like cat, xat, mat, cmat etc, caste category also plays a vital role, if you have good score and decent work experience and soft skills you may select in tier 1 colleges, so I suggest you to work hard to get a good score in your upcoming exams, you did not mention which exam you are targeting now,do mention the exam name, then I may suggest you some college name.
