Hello Harshan,
The NLSIU strives to grant as many scholarships as possible to encourage academically promising students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. On the recommendations of the Scholarship Committee, fee concessions are awarded to the maximum extent possible in circumstances where full scholarships are not feasible. Only students enrolled in the regular undergraduate and graduate degree programmes are eligible to apply.
Merit Scholarship : A merit scholarship is awarded to students who manage to secure a 6.00 out of 7.00 CGPA in the previous year.
Merit cum Means Scholarship : The scholarship funds won't be released until the applicant provides documentation verifying the income indicated on the application. After reviewing an applicant's financial need and academic performance, the Scholarship Committee can award any amount they see fit. If a candidate does not show up for the interview, s/he may be disqualified from further consideration for the Scholarship. The Scholarship Committee may also decide to award less than the maximum amount for a certain category if the student's circumstances warrant it.
The approved scholarship amount will be subtracted from either the annual tuition bill or the mess bill at the NLSIU. After making any necessary adjustments to the fees or mess bill, any remaining funds owed to the students will be distributed at the end of the third trimester. Parents will be informed of their child's Scholarship award and how it will be applied to their child's tuition and meal plans.
Other than scholarships, NLSIU also offers multiple third-party external scholarships, both privately and publicly funded. These are available to meritorious students, to students from certain categories or to students from a lower income group. They can be accessed from the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) or the State Government Scholarship Portal.
Moreover, the university has also collaborated with a FinTech Organization and Punjab National Bank to provide easy student loans to those who need it.
I hope this helped. Feel free to reach out if I missed touching upon something. Good luck!

Hi Saloni, If your waitlist no. is less than 100, there are a lot of high possibilities of you getting in.
A considerable lot of them whom I realized who were less than 150 waitlist number, got in the second and third merit list separately attributable to shifted choices and decisions of the students.
Don't stress I truly want to believe that you get in as there are reasonable possibilities of you getting in according to the patterns for the previous years
Best of luck for your Symbiosis confirmation. Its an astounding college and you would have the best 3 years to come.
Thank You
