B.D.S.
Hello,
With 333 marks (SC category), MBBS in a government college is nearly impossible since SC cut-off also goes above 450+ marks in most states. For BDS in government colleges, the cut-off usually stays above 370–400 marks for SC, so again it looks difficult. However, you do have chances in private BDS colleges under the SC quota, where cut-offs are lower. For B.Sc Nursing, the cut-off is more flexible, and you may get a seat in some government colleges since nursing cut-offs are not as high as MBBS/BDS.

Thank you and all the best!
Depending on the state and particular college cutoffs, a General EWS applicant with 329 NEET scores may be able to obtain a government seat in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, or Physiotherapy, as well as perhaps in BDS. While AYUSH courses may have lower cutoffs, government BDS seats are often more competitive and require higher marks.

Yes, with 490 marks, you have a very strong chance for BDS in a government dental college. In fact, with this score, you could even target MBBS in government medical colleges, especially if you belong to a reserved category. Government dental colleges usually take students in the 400–450+ range, so with 490 you are well above that line.
Thank you!
With 158 marks, eligibility is just at the margin because the qualifying cut-off for NEET is usually around 137–150 marks for General category (and lower for SC/ST/OBC). Deemed universities are private institutions with higher fees , and they do not usually consider students with marks this low for BDS admission. So realistically, with 158, the chances are very slim even in deemed universities. You may have to consider B.Sc Nursing, paramedical, or allied health sciences courses as backup options.
180 marks in general in need is below the usual cut-off for direct BDS admission in private college. You will likely need to opt for management quota, seats in smaller private institutions with the total cost around 20 to 25 lakhs over the course.
Hi Pramik,
With a score of 85 marks in NEET 2024 , your chances of getting a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seat under the management quota will depend on several factors, including:
- The college's location (state/private)
- Cutoffs for BDS management seats in different colleges
- Your category (General, OBC, SC, etc.)
- The number of seats available under the management quota
General Scenario:
For private colleges that offer management quota seats, a score of 85 is generally on the lower side. Most reputable private dental colleges may have a cutoff of 300+ mark s for a better chance of admission.
However, some less competitive private colleges might accept students with lower scores, so it's advisable to check the specific cutoffs for each college.
State Dental Colleges:
Each state has its own counseling process, and cutoffs can vary widely. A score of 85 is likely to be below the cutoff in top colleges but may be considered in lesser-known or newer institutions .
