i am a female and please suggest me which is better among electrical and mechanical engineering

Soumili Majumdar 4th Nov, 2020
Hello there
Both electrical and mechanical are good branches with great placement and decent salary. But females generally do not opt for Mechanical Engineering as it is a field oriented job and tiresome. You will not find many females opting for Mechanical Engineering. Electrical Engineering is a good branch too and has great scope and job opportunities. Now it entirely depends on your interest which branch you want to choose. Both of them have good scopes.
Hope this information helps you.
Good luck!!

I got 72.78 PR and 298585 CRL in JEE MAIN PAPER 1 (BE/BTECH). My EWS Category Rank is 40260. My home state is Gujarat. Can I get any Good College.

Harsha Sinha 24th Sep, 2020

Hi there,

Unfortunately with a rank of 40k in the category won't let you to any top college, whether nits or any private college,

But you might get some regionals college in gujrat with this rank but that won't be very helpful for your career goals, I would suggest to take a drop a score more than 92+ percentile.

Anyway this year the options for some college at your rank are listed here

Will DAVV and SGSITS take part in Qualifying exam round for BE/Btech admission as the previous years data suggest that these institutes do not have any data for students admitted on the basis of class 12th marks ??

Shivi Srivastava 27th Oct, 2020

Hi,

DAVV and SGSITS does not take admissions simply based on class 12th marks only. Though it might be a cut off deciding or screening criteria.

For admission in UG courses in DAVV one needs to qualify Common Entrance Test(CET) final selection. And for PG courses one needs to qualify GATE as well as any other entrance exam accepted by the college.

Same goes for admission in SGSITS, there are two rounds of screening plus a last round of college level screening , done by college itself.

If you have further queries, you can go to our site and post your queries here.

We will get back to you ASAP.

Hope this helps.

Soumadip Ranjan Biswas 14th Sep, 2020

Hi,

Congratulations for your jee!

It’s difficult to tell you the exact about your admission possibilities but as per the previous year cutoff as a general category the chance seems less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs however you can try for state counseling like Punjab, Haryana, MP, Etc.

You can check the college predictor tool of Career360. Here is the link ->

Give your rank, caste, state, gender and check the available colleges for you.

All the best!

My rank is 1368 in AEEE can i get cse in coiambatore campus

Varun Sood 3rd Sep, 2020
Hii aspirant
Hope you are doing well
First of all congratulations for securing good rank
From previous trends you can observe that
Opening rank was from 1 to 750 thus you will get 2nd round as the candidates from opening counselling session will opt for other streams as well but as you know CSE is in demand and most probably some seats will still be there for 2nd round so hope that you will make it
So keep your finger crossed and attend the counselling

how to check defense quota cutoff in Delhi university??

Guljabin Quadri 11th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Till a year ago, DU offered 5% amount to five of the seven sections — guard faculty killed or handicapped in real life, the individuals who kicked the bucket in harmony time with death inferable from military assistance, those debilitated in harmony time during military help, and beneficiaries of heroism grants. The cut off is not specific for defense quota. you can contact Secretary, Kendriya, Sainik Board, Delhi related to the quota cut off.

I have regisered for both BE/BTECH & BARCH IN JEE 2020. I AM INTERESTED ONLY IN BARCH, SHOULD I APPEAR FOR THE BE/BTECH PAPER ALSO?

Naman Raturi 31st Aug, 2020

Hello There ,

It is not necessary that if you have registered you would have to give both the exams but , As you have already registered for both B.Tech and B.arch exams , according to me you should appear for both the exams , as there are many aspirants who give both the exams and then according to their result they are able to choose the stream and college suits them better . Giving both the exams will open a greater range of opportunity and it would increase your chances of getting a good college .

Hope it helps and All The Best for your exams .

i have got vit vellore cse and lnmiit ece. which one shall i chose??

Abhishek Roy 7th Oct, 2020

I believe LNMIIT is better than vit . The placements shown by vit are discrepant and please note there are fixed number of seats for each branch in lnmiit and no management quota. Peer environment and competition both are healthy at LNMIIT.

However if your are seriously interested in CSE and have no monetary issues, you might consider VIT CSE else LNMIIT ECE is the best option.
