For general the cutoffs in aith Kanpur is 183-477. So maybe you won't be able to get in there with your rank. The scheduled caste cutoff was from 858-1076 in 2018.

But Btech biotechnology (lateral) is having cutoffs from 1172-5920.

As per the rankings of these colleges, CIT would be best option for you. SSN college would be the best among these for mechanical engineering as its considered as one of the best colleges for mechanical engineering under Anna Unversity. I would recommend you to go through the course structures and placement statistics for mechanical branch for these colleges and then decide.

It is to be noted that this year admission to all B.tech. programmes except biotechnology will be done on the basis of your JEE mains paper 1 score. There will be no IPU CET for all other B.Tech. programmes except biotechnology. It will be followed by GGSIPU counselling.

Cut Offs for B.Tech. through JEE mains 2019 paper 1 are expected to be released in the first week of July 2019. It will depend on the cutoff marks to select the candidates which are to be called for the counselling procedure. The GGSIPU will prepare and release cut offs for B.Tech. as opening and closing ranks for different categories and different B.Tech. programmes.
