Hi Sandeep,
I can definitely guide you here in this matter. I myself am a Computer Science student and this is a very common doubt in students. I would recommend you to make a good grip over algorithms and Data Structures. Make these two areas as good as possible. Rest will be a learning experience.
Good luck !!
Hello,
CSI is the 2nd level of CSE. Basically there is no difference. You can take any one of both. You will study nearly same subjects apart for some. For the exception you can read those in your free time. There is no drawback. If you have skills like coding and you are expertise in your branch knowledge and good at coding and problem solving you will get a good job at top MNCs.
Hope it helps!
Hello Abhijith,

Hello Preeti,
Many colleges from mechanical branche move on to computer science through lateral entry. It just depends on the college in which you are talking admission.Rhere are some colleges which has some high standards and branch specifications. If your college don't have those things than you can easily go for cs.No acite will not decline your admission.
Thankyou
Hi Manisha,
I suppose you are asking this question for yourself and let me tell you being a female candidate, you are not eligible for NDA entrance exam. However, you can join in Officer Training Academy (OTA) through CDS exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service exam. Both the Unmarried Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply for the OTA exam through CDS exam.
Hi Preeti,
To the extent of my knowledge the eligibility criteria for Lateral entry in most of the colleges is that you must have a diploma with minimum percentage criteria which might vary from college to college but i think there is no restriction on change of branch but there can be such criteria due to the reason that after a diploma in a field it won't be useful to switch branches.
Good Luck !!
