Hello student,

While getting admitted to a course abroad, you are required to sit for many exams. Here is a list of exams which are approved and accepted in Australia.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

IELTS Australia test is conducted in more than 35 countries. IELTS is jointly managed by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL). It is conducted through more than 800 test centers and locations in over 130 countries.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

TOEFL scores are accepted for both admission and visa procurement. It is one of the most accepted and most respected tests among universities, agencies and other institutions all around the world. TOEFL test content is 100% academic. The TOEFL iBT

TM

is given 30-40 times a year, at thousands of secure, Internet-based test sites around the globe. Whereas, the TOEFL Paper-based Test (or TOEFL PBT) is offered in areas where the internet based test is not available. It is given 6 times a year.

Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)

PTE Academic is accepted is now accepted by more than 150 institutions in Australia that includes over 80% of TAFEs. It is also accepted by DIAC for student visas. Students can take the test at twelve cities in India. However, test takers should crosscheck the score requirements with both DIAC and their desired institutions.

In case your English language proficiency score is not up to the mark, you can enroll in an English language course to prepare you for further study. Almost all Australian universities have in-campus English language centers or have links with English language colleges.

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) Certificates

Students can now demonstrate their English language skills need for academic success through Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) scores. It is also accepted by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) for visa application process. Since the test is also run by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), its score is equivalent to IELTS score and the equivalency is accepted by DIAC.

Is there any job opportunities for B.TECH BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING IN UAE AND QATAR

akshaevelin27_9770651 Student Expert 15th Aug, 2019

Hello aspirant,

The Saudia Arabian Surgeons, as I have read are the best trained in the greater Arab world, biomedical backgrounds could help you and others in this emerging area of science to together utilize diplomatic connections to the Saudi Crown in order to create alternative economic options for the kingdom that is currently looking to diversify income beyond an economy based on 90% petroleum products and services.

You never know, Israel a leading biomedical country alongside the US would gladly pay the minimalist fees to hedge their bets more fruitfully outside Malaysia Germany and Singapore.

It would likely first take a dedicated group of engineers to assemble and then research how they would diplomatically open a channel to the Saudi Royal Family.

Hope this will be helpful...

Which field suits after btech in ME

akshaevelin27_9770651 Student Expert 15th Aug, 2019

Hello student,

These are all the things that you can do after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering..

  1. Get placed at a great core company.. Work hard to slowly rise through the ranks.
  2. Get placed at a not so good core company. Work hard to get a job at the above mentioned companies.
  3. Get placed at an IT company. Forget that you ever were a mechanical engineer and embrace the world of computers.
  4. Give GATE. Land a job in one of the PSUs.
  5. Give GATE. Pursue an Mtech (preferably in a college more reputed than your Btech one).
  6. Decide that you need to have a 'foreign' education. Give GRE and get into a US university.
  7. Decide that you want to pursue a career in academics/research/teaching. Give GRE, get a scholarship and get into a five (or more) year integrated MS and PhD program in a reputed college in the US.
  8. Sit for CAT. This a cyclic process, remember. Continue doing this until you get a college of your choice or settle down for the one you are getting.
  9. Forget everything you have learnt in college and do something radically different, be it starting up, or becoming an author/photographer/musician/....
  10. Get a job in any of the companies mentioned in 1 to 3. Get frustrated to no end. Decide that enough is enough. After one or two years, do any of the things from points 4 to 9.

JOB OPPURTUNITIES AFTER B.TECH BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

akshaevelin27_9770651 Student Expert 14th Aug, 2019

Job Scope after B.Tech Biomedical Engineering

  1. R&D- Generally the R&D companies hire employees through campus placements from a small group of colleges. Good luck for that. The health tech industry in Andhra & Telangana is a bright prospect in future when it comes to R&D opportunities.
  2. Service- The job i am currently in. You get to learn a lot about the internal functioning of various medical devices. There are plenty of learning opportunities, trainings. The happiness you get after indirectly saving a life can't be measured. You'll be nervous at start but with right guidance service is the most satisfying job.
  3. Application engineer- The role of an application engineer is to explain to customer about the working of a specific medical device. Application engineers work hand to hand with sales team.
  4. Sales engineer- Sales of medical equipment are handled by the sales engineer. They have targets as well as incentives so it's a double edged sword.
  5. Hospital engineer- Every big hospital has a Biomedical department in which there are typically 5–6 engineers who are responsible to attend to emergency breakdown of any medical equipment.

There are various areas in which a Biomedical engineer can work. The salary at start is not appropriate for some posts but then again if you work hard & have right skills you can land a good job just after graduation. Don't get demotivated by people who say that Biomedical has no scope, or it's only about research. More than 75% of Biomedical jobs are occupied by electronics engineer just because talented Biomedical engineers switch their fields after graduation.

Hope this will be helpful..
