The application form can be filled by visiting the admission portal of JMI followed by fee submission through Credit/ Debit card or Net-Banking.A valid rank in JEE Main is the primary requirement to secure admission in B.Tech and B.Arch courses.So the entrance exam is basically JEE-MAINS.So,the syllabus for JEE-MAIN should be known to every engineering aspirant otherwise you can google it.

There is no effect of a year back in BTECH during  MTECH placements.  The recruiters will only see your resume , your average marks in Mtech and will only look at your knowledge and skills and nothing else. When you say scoring well, it should be nothing less than 90 percentile. . CAT exam is not something where in you are either declared PASS or FAIL.
