Hello Pavan,

The only time in your B. Tech when you can change your college or branch is after the first year because the syllabus of the first year is common for all the branches. And after that, you can not change your college if you are from Lateral Entry or from normal entry.

NILUTPOL Student Expert 6th Aug, 2019
Hello,
If you wish to appear for JEE Main in 2018, then you should have passed class 12 or any other equivalent qualifying test in 2016 or 2017. If youre appearing for class 12 exams in 2018 then also you can apply.
Diploma students who have completed their degree, or are in the final year of doing so, are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2018, but will not be given admission to NITs and CFTIs.If they qualify JEE Main, they will have to appear for JEE Advanced, and they will be given admission like class 12th pass students. No lateral entry.
Hope it helps

Hii,

JEE Mains is a National level Common Entrance test to get admission in NIT's and IIIT's. Yes, You can still write the JEE Mains 2020 exam. If you are qualified in the JEE exam and got a seat , you have to study from the first year. As you are in first year of Btech focus more on the JEE Preparation rather than your Academics. But make sure that you must pass the first year subjects.
