1. Which branch of engineering is best for UPSE (civil service) and as well as for technical Gov. jobs. Which optional subject is most popular for appearing in UPSE exam among BE/Btech graduates? 2. Which 1 is better & Y? -Btech in CSE at manipal or Btech Hons in CSE at manipal jaipur university?

Sohamsengupta8 29th Jun, 2022

Hello Student

Being an engineering graduate you should take the branch of civil or mechanical or electrical or electronics study of courses. The branches of engineering course is popular and acceptable for union public Service commission-that is of civil services examination.  There is some factors to choose optional subjects for civil or Indian administrative services  those are -the subject should be scoring,

The syllabus will be less,

Materials are easily available,,

Subject suits your aptitude.

For the optional  choice of core subjects will be possibly not so scoring. The subjects related to BTech courses like physics and mathematics will be the best choices for optional subjects in UPSC civil services examination.

Computer Science Engineering in Manipal University will be the best.

Hope this will help.

some colleges take their own test or interview for screening of students but it is just for few colleges.

sir i passed 10th in 2020 and 12th passing year is 2023 then can i write jee advanced 2023 as well as 2024

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 21st Mar, 2022

Hi

Having passed 10th in 2020, you should ideally pass 12th in 2022 itself. From your question it seems you have a gap year between 10th & 12th but it doesn't matter being 12th appearing for the first time in 2023, yes you will be eligible for both jee advanced 2023 & 2024

One is eligible for JEE advanced examination for a maximum of two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination for the first time

Now, your 12th appearing year for the first time is 2023

So,

  • you are eligible for JEE advanced 2023

  • eligible for JEE advanced 2024 as well

For your reference

JEE  advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-

---------------------) Qualification required :- One needs to pass 10+2/ or equivalent with the following 5 subjects:-

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Mathematics

  • A language

  • Any subject other than listed above

Those appearing for 10+2/equivalent are also eligible.

---------------------) Minimum marks in 12th /equivalent :-  you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.

††† IMPORTANT NOTE :- Considering pandemic in order to give relaxation. The minimum percentage barrier of 75 % - 65% has been lifted off for jee advanced 2022. It means all you need to be eligible is to have at least passed 12th .

----------------------) 12th /equivalent passing year :-  You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination for the first time i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2022 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2022 or 2021

††† IMPORTANT NOTE:-

Considering pandemic, there's one time measure for students who had passed 12th in 2021 & 2020.

  • For 2021 passed :- Those 2021 passed students who had qualified jee main 2021 and had registered for jee advanced 2021 but couldn't appear in the examination are directly eligible for jee advanced 2022 without appearing in jee main 2022.

  • For 2020 passed :- 2020 12th passed students are also eligible for  jee advanced 2022 after qualifying jee main 2022 provided they have appeared in only one of 2020 or 2021 jee advanced or none of them.

Details about it is available at:- https://news.careers360.com/jee-advanced-2022-extra-attempt-iit-entrance-exam-candidates-who-missed-in-2020-2021-jeeadv-ac-in

-----------------------) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2022, you should be born on or after 1st October 1997. There is 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD so candidates of SC/ST /PWD needs to be  born on or after October 1, 1992.

-----------------------) you must qualify JEE main  2022 to be eligible for jee advanced 2022.

To give you an idea of the jee main qualifying cut off percentile to be eligible for jee advanced,  jee main 2021 cut off percentile to be eligible for jee advanced 2021 is given below :-

  • general :-87.8992241 percentile

  • EWS:- 66.2214845 percentile

  • OBC-NCL :- 68.0234447 percentile

  • SC :- 46.8825338 percentile

  • ST:- 34.6728999 percentile

  • PWD :- 0.0096375 percentile

Is there any fees waiver / concession for ews category students with income < 100000 Rs in IIIT Jabalpur for Under Graduate B Tech students . Please answer my question

Aashiketa 29th Dec, 2021

Hi, IIITDM Jabalpur offers financial assistance and scholarships to students coming from economically weaker backgrounds, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, girl students, and other backward classes. Fee waivers provided at IIITDM Jabalpur is as below;

  • All the students belonging to SC/ST communities are completely exempted from paying tuition fees.
  • Also, SC/ST students whose parents’ annual income is less than INR 2L are allowed Hostel Rent & Hall establishment fee exemptions.

Details of the scholarships offered at IIITDM Jabalpur are as follows:

  • There is a merit-based scholarship (Merit-cum-Means scholarship) for undergraduate students who have a good record in academics and extracurricular activities. In this 25% of total students of a batch of the B.Tech program are awarded a scholarship.
  • There is a 20% reservation in Merit-cum-Means scholarships at IIITDM Jabalpur for SC/ST students.
  • For reserved category students, there is a special provision of scholarship.

IIITDM Jabalpur accepts fee payment through both online and offline modes. However, the payment for Semester fees and Mess fees has to be completed separately. Students should proceed with the payment process after checking the IIITDM Jabalpur Fee Structure. The step by step procedure for both online and offline modes are as mentioned below:

  • Step 3: Click on the link provided under the “Payment of Institute Fee” section. (For Mess Fee Payment click the link mentioned under “Mess dues”.)
  • Step 4: You will then be redirected to another page. Enter your details and follow the instructions provided there to make the payment.
  • Step 5: Take a print out of both institute and mess fees receipt and keep it with you for future purpose.

IIITDM Jabalpur Fee Payment (Offline):

  • Step 1: Students will have to submit two separate demand drafts at the institute in case of offline fee payment.
  • Step 2: The first demand draft would be for Mess Fees. It is supposed to be prepared in favor of “IIITDMJ MESS ACCOUNT” payable at Jabalpur.
  • Step 3: The second demand draft would be for Semester Fees. It is supposed to be prepared in favor of “PDPM IIITDM STUDENT FEE ACCOUNT” payable at Jabalpur.
  • Step 4: Then submit the fee amount to the finance department of IIITDM Jabalpur institute.

Hope this helps.
