Bengali
Hello
You asked for the Bengali question paper of the NMMS examination. The NMMS exam is conducted by SCERT of each state including West Bengal for Class 8 students. The exam is held every year to provide scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections. The test generally has two parts. The first paper is called the Mental Ability Test or MAT. It contains reasoning, puzzle based, and analytical type questions. The second paper is the Scholastic Aptitude Test or SAT. This part includes questions from subjects like Science, Social Science, and Mathematics based on the Class 7 and 8 syllabus.
The Bengali question paper is given only to those students who choose Bengali as their medium of examination while filling the application form. In such cases, all the questions in MAT and SAT will be printed in Bengali. This helps students from West Bengal and Bengali medium schools to attempt the paper comfortably in their own language.

Hello Renuka,
Indeed, for your JoSAA counselling, you may select Bengali as your subject preference instead of English, as long as Bengali is listed as one of the acceptable subjects by the particular institution or program applying to. Subject eligibility varies by institution and course so it is important be clear about the JoSAA Business Rules or check the eligibility of individual institutions (like IITs, NITs, IIITs) for the specific subject eligible requirements.

Hii,
Congrats on scoring 82%! That’s a good score and should easily get you admission in most Delhi government or semi-government schools. For Bengali Senior Secondary School, you’ll usually need to go through the centralized admission process by the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE). Forms for Class 11 admissions typically release after CBSE 10th results, so around June–July. You’ll have to register online through the DoE portal and choose your preferred school. Keep checking the official website regularly.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you have got 82% in 10th class, you can expect to be admitted in a good WBCHSE school. You must have good marks in maths and science as many schools give priority to this for choosing PCMB.
Application Process
The selection is mostly merit based.
Hope this helps. All the best!
