I want to be English to Hindi to Bengali languages translator. How can I start?
Hello Aspirant
In order to become an English to Hindi to Bangla (language) translator, you need to be well-versed in all three languages. I'm assuming Bangla is your mother tongue, so you will be proficient in it at the native level. For Hindi and English, there are two ways- you can either have a degree in these languages (mind you, not the literature, but the language or the linguistics part) or do a certificate course with at least C2 or C1 proficiency. Only then any company or a government sector would be willing to take you because they need proof that you are good in that language at the native level. Translators are high in demand in today's world of globalisation and the pay as well is really good. All the best!
I am in top 20 percentile including PCM with Bengali and English. But in my marksheet Math has become optional subject because Biology has more marks than Math. If I qualified in Jee Advanced am I eligible to take admission in IIT ?
Hello Aspirant,
As you have taken pcm with Bengal and English and you have also opted for biology let me tell you that what matters is whether you have scored 75% in aggregate in your class 12th or not and if you have not secured that you are not eligible to sit for jee mains and jee advanced .
Your English + best four system doesn't matter in calculation of percentage because in this all the subjects will be calculated.
I have Bengali, English, mathematics, computer application, geography and economics in my class 12 th in wb state board. can I take bsc. in computer science??
Hello Aspirant
The eligibility criteria for getting admitted to a BSc Computer Science program is that you should have a computer science or related subject in your 12th grade. Since you had that in your 12th grade, you are eligible to take admission in BSc CS. You just need to appear for the CUET UG exam that is held every year around the month of March or April. Keep yourself updated by checking the NTA website regularly for the form's release dates.
Hope this helps
I am a PCMB student from WB board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Bengali as core subjects and Mathematics as optional subject. I passed in all 5 core subjects with a total score of 324 out of 500 (65%) but failed in Mathematics, Result status (PASSED). Am i eligible for neet?
As you have already passed in your core subjects, and kaths was an additional subject, you need to worry. The eligibility criteria for NEET is that you need to have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as core subjectes. Hence, you are eligible to appear for the NEET examination. Furthermore the eligibility criteria for Neet 2023 is:
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects.
- The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2023.
Now in order to qualify for the exam, you need to score a percentile as per your category, in order to be eligible for admission to state government/private medical/dental colleges.
The qualifying criteria is as follows:
UR: 50th percentile
OBC/SC/ST : 40th percentile
PwD: 45th percentile
Hope this answers your query
All the best:)
I failed in maths as optional subject in class 12 from WB board but passed in rest 5 subjects which are Physics Chemistry Biology English and Bengali with 65% and overall status is passed, am i eligible for neet?
Dear aspirant
Yes, ofcourse you are eligible for neet as your optional subject is not taken for calculating the total marks and even if you fail it's doesn't matter as you have passed your core subjects and overall status is passed also.
Basic eligibility criteria are as such
Candidates Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2022 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects
UR - 50%,
OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
PWD - 45%
You must should have more than 50% aggregate in PCB subject to be eligible for neet exam.
so if you have aggregate marks more than that, you will be eligible for the exam.

my sons cbse class 10 board result is = English -97, Bengali -92, Math-94, Science -96, Social Science -98 and Information technology -99. what is percentage calculate as per cbse board rules
Hi,
The CBSE board has a best of five rule in which your main percentage is decided by one language subject I.e. English and other 4 subjects in which you get high scores. And the remaining subjects becomes additional whose marks won't be added to your main percentage.
The subject you would score lowest will automatically excluded . So, if you score higher marks in additional subject than any of your subject other than English then it would automatically replace the lowest scoring subject.
If we talk about your son's overall percentage then we will exclude the marks of Bengali subject because he scored lowest of all subjects in Bengali.
Percentage = 484 / 500 * 100
That is 96.8
Hope this will help you !
