can we give retention to the 2nd round college allotted if we didnt like the 3rd round allotted college. ( Cet cell BAMS/bhms round)

Anurag Khanna 11th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

No you cannot do this, because status retention form is filled to confirm the seat and as soon as you get an upgraded seat in round 3rd or mop-up round then the seat allotted to you earlier in round 2nd would automatically get cancelled after which you cannot join it. Because if we go through general norms and guidelines laid for NEET UG counselling either for state quota or for All India Quota, then according to them, if you were allotted a seat in round 1st or 2nd and you apply for upgradation of the seat then in round 2nd or 3rd respectively and an upgraded seat would be allotted to you then the seat allotted to you in round 1st or just previous one will automatically be cancelled and allotted to any other candidate so if this is the case then you cannot retain the seat back allotted to you in round 1st. But if you did not get an upgraded seat in round 3rd then definitely you can retain back the seat that has been allotted to you in round 2nd.

with 337 marks in neet 2021 can I get bams or bhms seat in ayush mop up round Karnataka?I belong to 3b category

Sree Student Expert 10th Mar, 2022

Hi aspirant,

>>See it is difficult to predict exactly because cut-offs changes from year to year.

**But based on previous year's cut-offs you have very less chances of getting Government BAMS seat or BHMS seat but you try for Management seat/ Paid seat in Priavte BAMS Colleges based on this year cutoffs atleast in Mop-up round.

**Remember that Cut-offs depends on many factors like

-Number of students appeared in the exam

-Seat Matrix

-Exam difficulty level

-Caste Category of the students

-Total number of seats available,

-Previous year's cut-offs, etc.

which exam to be given after bhms

masteranshu27 28th Jan, 2022

After completing BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery), the most common exam which almost every BHMS graduate gives is the  All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). AIAPGET will give you a chance to pursue AYUSH MD/MS Post Graduate Courses.

To get details about AIAPGET 2022, you may visit the link - https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/aiapget-application-form

However, if you do not wish to continue your career in Homeopathic stream, then are many government exams which any graduate (including BHMS graduate) can appear for. These include - UPSC, SSC, RBI, IBPS PO, etc.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 28th Jan, 2022

The admission to the BHMS & BAMS are provided on the basis of the Ayush counselling. So if you wish to take admission through state counselling, then you need to apply through the MAHARASTRA AAYUSH COUNSELLING. Till now no notification are available regarding the AAYUSH Counselling for NEET 2021. So wait form some time and its expected that the notification will be out within in some days.

bams vs bhms which is best? & why

masteranshu27 26th Jan, 2022

If we look from career point of view, then it's BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery) which is better as compared to BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) because of the following reasons, as stated below -

  • BAMS has more vacancies in Government sector as compared to BHMS
  • BAMS will fetch you comparatively more salary as compared to BHMS
  • Indian Government has recently put more emphasis on Ayurvedic Science and has proudly said that "WHO is about to set up centre for traditional medicine in India" (Source - The Hindu Newspaper Date - November 13, 2020)
  • Rise in popularity of Ayurvedic medicines not only in India but also in foreign countries
  • Rise in popularity and sales of companies like Patanjali has opened up more job opportunities for Ayurvedic Doctors

However, it also depends on the individual's interest what he/she wants to do in future. If someone is really interested in Homeopathic Science, then he/she may consider pursuing BHMS Course.

Now from treatment point of view, both are equally good, though Ayurveda has more of scientific backing (while Homeopathy is sometimes considered as pseudoscience).
