I have got 155 marks in bhu llb entrance exam i am from OBC is there is any chance of admission

Souparni Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Surbhi,

Here are the previous year cutoff trends for the three-year law programme in the Faculty of Law, BHU.

  • In 2018 - the minimum cutoff score for OBC candidate was - 357
  • In 2017 - it was 181

It seems as if you have very slim to no chances of getting admission in BHU. Although, don't lose hope as cutoffs differ from year to year and wait for the cutoff rounds to see what happens. Meanwhile, keep a lookout for the other institutes to make sure you get a seat in your desired institution.

All the Best!

My cousin got , 214 marks in bhu uet , can he get a seat in bio hons , obc category

Preyas_Verma Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Aditya,

The expected marks cutoff for admission in BHU for Bio(hons) is about 235+ for OBC. Last year's cutoff for the same was 231. That is why it is unlikely you will be able to get admission in BHU.

Hello..i got 234 marks and 110 rank in obc category in bhu uet llb...any chance to get admission..?

Souparni Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Anu,

As per the previous year cutoff trends, the cutoff marks for an OBC category candidate was 357 and the cutoff rank was 207 in 2018.

In 2017, the cutoff marks were 181 and the cutoff rank was 350.

As it seems, you have a pretty decent chance of getting a seat in BHU as your rank and score both fit the previous trends and considering the fact that cutoffs over the years don't differ much. If you meet the cutoff, you will be issued a call letter for counselling as per the announced list, and you will then require to deposit the fees to confirm your seat.

All the Best!

Souparni Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Ayushi,

Please refer to the cutoffs below (regular seats) -

  • General - cutoff marks - 265, cutoff rank - 1149
  • OBC - cutoff marks - 231, rank - 791
  • SC - marks - 140, rank - 321

  • PC OH - marks- 85, rank - 211
  • PC HI - marks - 20, rank - 113

It seems as if you have a very slim to no chance of getting admission in the Bio Group in BHU. But don't worry, there are hundreds of institutes all across the country wherein you can find your desired stream of study. Keep a lookout for other institutes and keep your options open.

Hello Mranalini,

As per the previous year cutoff trends, the cutoff rank for an OBC Category candidate was 797 with a cutoff mark of 231 for a regular seat in 2018 for the Bio Group.

For a paid seat, the cutoff marks were 220 and the cutoff rank was 950 in 2018.

Either which ways, you seem to have a decent chance of getting a seat as cutoffs over the years don't differ much.

Preyas_Verma Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Deep,

According to the previous year's cutoff, with 209 marks in BHU-UET Maths entrance exam and rank - 580 you have excellent chances in getting admission in BHU. Last year's cutoff was - 1,319 rank and 173 marks.

About the hostel facilities - There is a hostel present with all the facilities present. Fees is around 3,000 to 6,000 per year. It has 200 students capacity with all indoor and outdoor sports. With AC.
