Biology
Hello Sneha
You need not to worry as it doesn't matter if you have high marks in Class 12th or low marks. The only thing which matters regarding Class 12th marks is that you should must have at least the minimum required percentage set by the respective body.
As you appear to more than the minimum percentage, there won't be ANY PROBLEMS in admission process and you would be in MAMC, VMMC or any other medical college that you wish to go for.
Thank You!!!
Hi Rekha,
Certainly, if you qualify CUET in the year 2026, you can apply to B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics or Biology at DU (Delhi University), even though you completed your 12th Level in the year 2021. Delhi University does not have any upper age limit for undergraduate admissions and eligibility is based on having passed Grade 12 with the relevant subjects and qualifying to sit for the CUET in that admission year (2026). If you sit for CUET 2026 and get a good score, so long as you meet the subject criteria and percentage criteria for the specific course, you would be eligible for admission to government colleges, like colleges admitted to Delhi University.
This combination opens a lot of doors for you because you have both biology and mathematics along with nutrition. You can go into the medical side by preparing for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, or B.Sc Nursing. You can also explore paramedical and allied health sciences like B.Sc Nutrition & Dietetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Environmental Science.
Since you also had maths, engineering-related programs like B.Tech in Biotechnology or B.Pharmacy are available too. If you want applied courses, you can try B.Sc Agriculture, Food Technology, or Genetics.
Thank you!
Hello,
Sorry, but with a score of 158 in CUET biology for a general category student, you have a very low chance of getting admission for forensic science honors at Vikram University. Especially in popular and very competitive programs like forensic science honors. However, you can still check cutoffs for this program at a specific university.
I hope it will clear your query!!
With a CUET-UG Biology score of 158 in the general category, you are eligible for B.Sc. (Hons.) Forensic Science at Vikram University, which requires only 40% in Class 12 (Science stream); although the exact cutoff for this course at Vikram isn’t published, similar universities have had cutoffs around 158 for general category, meaning your score is right on the borderline, so you stand a fair chance of admission if you apply on time and actively follow the counselling process.
Generally, medical colleges accept two mark sheets (CBSE and NIOS) if you failed a subject like Chemistry in CBSE but cleared it through NIOS, making you eligible for NEET and subsequent admissions, according to NMC guidelines.
Ensure that, combining both mark sheets, you have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects, meeting the minimum aggregate percentage (e.g., 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC).
However, it's always recommended to confirm specific college requirements and NEET guidelines to avoid any potential issues during counseling or admission process. You should be prepared to present both marksheets and, if necessary, explain the situation during the admission process.
