Biology valo ko b tech computer science ki liye college

Samprikta Mondal 26th Oct, 2024

While it's possible to transition from a biology background to computer science, it's important to note that a strong foundation in mathematics and logical reasoning is crucial for success in computer science.

Here are some tips for choosing a college:

1. Look for Colleges with Interdisciplinary Programs:

Bioinformatics: This field combines biology and computer science, making it a good fit for students with a biology background.

Computational Biology: This field involves using computational methods to analyze biological data.

Biomedical Engineering: This field applies engineering principles to solve problems in medicine and biology.

2. Consider Colleges with Strong Computer Science Programs:

Even if a college doesn't have specific interdisciplinary programs, a strong computer science program can provide you with the necessary skills. Look for colleges with experienced faculty, good infrastructure, and a strong placement record.

3. Prepare for the Transition:

Take additional math and computer science courses: This will help you bridge the gap between your biology background and the requirements of a computer science program.

Practice coding: Start learning programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.

Develop problem-solving skills: Practice logical reasoning and problem-solving techniques.

Here are some colleges in India that offer interdisciplinary programs or strong computer science programs:

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): IITs offer a variety of interdisciplinary programs, including bioinformatics and computational biology.

Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs): IIITs are known for their strong computer science programs.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani): BITS Pilani offers a variety of engineering programs, including computer science and bioinformatics.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT): VIT offers a variety of engineering programs, including computer science and biotechnology.

Remember to research specific colleges and their programs to find the best fit for your interests and goals.

Hello,I passed my 12th from state board assam, but got 9 grace mrk in chem, physics 61 Biology 58 chemistry 40 9, 9 is the grace mark in theory ,and it is also mentioned in the marksheet, medical council of assam doesnt accepts it for counseling, but acceptable for abroad, any prblm If I took admsn?

Samprikta Mondal 24th Oct, 2024

Yes, there could be potential issues if you have a grace mark in Chemistry and the Medical Council of Assam (MCA) doesn't accept it for counseling.

Here's why:

  • Eligibility Criteria: Some medical colleges or universities may have specific eligibility criteria that require a minimum passing score in each subject without grace marks.
  • Verification Process: During the admission process, your documents might be scrutinized, and the grace mark could raise questions.
  • Future Implications: While it might not be a major issue for admission, having a grace mark could potentially affect your eligibility for certain scholarships, fellowships, or other opportunities in the future.

Here's what you can do:

  1. Contact the Medical Council of Assam: Reach out to the MCA and inquire about their specific eligibility criteria for admission. Ask if they have any exceptions or alternative options for candidates with grace marks.
  2. Consult with Colleges: Contact the medical colleges you're interested in and inquire about their admission requirements. Some colleges might have specific policies regarding grace marks.
  3. Seek Legal Advice: If you encounter difficulties, consult with a legal expert who specializes in educational matters. They can provide guidance on your options and potential solutions.

Remember, it's important to address this issue proactively and gather all the necessary information to avoid any potential complications during the admission process.

Afreen 19th Oct, 2024

For general category candidate score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & biology combined together is eligible for NEET exam which is yhe entrance exam for medical colleges.thete is no role played by maths in medical field so for obvious reasons you are eligible for MBBS admission.your 10th failed result does not affect your admission later.

Moreover, NEET exam held in may june start preparing from now as it is one of the toughest exam in india students preparing it for years and they still couldn't make it.to crack the exam you need time and effort.plan your schedule work accordingly if you need guidance you can buy our course of NEET which will help you to make your position in government medical colleges.

I am so depressed I overthink so much because I score 23 in theory and 30 in practical iam pass there is no fail thing written in my 12 board marksheet I only ask I am elegible for neet because I am from general category and 32 in physics and 30 in practical and 27 in biology and 30 in practical am I elegible for neet ug

Prachi Kumari 17th Oct, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible for NEET UG, based on the following points:

  1. Eligibility Criteria for NEET:

    • For general category students, you need a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in your 12th board exams to be eligible for NEET UG.

  2. Calculation of Aggregate Marks:

    • Your marks in Physics: 32 (Theory) + 30 (Practical) = 62/100.

    • Your marks in Biology: 27 (Theory) + 30 (Practical) = 57/100.

    • We also need to know your Chemistry marks, but if your total in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is above 50%, you will meet the criteria.

  3. Theory and Practical Marks:

    • The theory-practical distribution doesn’t affect eligibility as long as your overall score in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is sufficient to reach the 50% threshold.

  4. No Failure Recorded:

    • Since your mark sheet doesn't mention failure, and you’ve passed both theory and practical components, you are qualified to sit for NEET.

Please confirm your Chemistry marks to ensure your total aggregate in PCB exceeds 50%.

Hope it helps !
