I got 46 percent in class 12th board this year 2022 gujarat board .I am not eligible to give neet what I do . genearal category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th May, 2022

Hi

You have got 46% in 12th  but what is your aggregate in PCB?

This is important because,

Your overall % obtained by you in  class 12th is not considered for Neet eligibility criteria , only your aggregate % in PCB is taken in account for considering your eligibility .

For your reference,

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-------------------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this PCB aggregate% requirement as per your category i. e have at least 50 % in Pcb aggregate being a general category student only then you are eligible, otherwise you are nor eligible.

-------------------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. For details about it checkout :- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-number-of-attempts-and-age-limit

--------------------) There's no attempt limit for neet.

Consecutively three times you can give your jee mains. Considering your 2022 as first attempt you can also give in the year 2023 and 2024.

i am general from gseb board and my percentage pcb both theory and practical consider then 48 percentage come out so i am eligible for neet can i attempt the neet exams first time.,?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th May, 2022

Hi

No, you are not eligible for NEET examination.

This is because,

Being a general category student you need 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( Theory + practical) but you have only 48 % and thus not eligible .

Subhalaxmi Biswal 30th May, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

You don't need the GUJCET entrance exam for admission into B.Sc Colleges in Gujarat. Most colleges only admit students based on merit scores in the 10+2 level. There is no entrance exam. So, you refer to the official college website of a college you like and apply for this course. Read the prospectus of that college thoroughly before applying. Considering your score you can easily get admission to these colleges as the minimum score for admission is 50-60%  in class 12th.

Bachelor in Science (BSc) is a UG degree course prominent among Science learners after Class 12. The period of the program is three years. The course is contemplated as a foundation class for learners who wish to make their career in the area of Science subject. This degree is furnished in a variation of Science subjects at about 210 universities all around Gujarat. Some of the prominent BSc courses are B.Sc degrees in Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Microbiology, BSc Mathematics, etc.

i am passed class 12th in 2021 with 92 percentile now i am dropper this year kea consider 50 % board marks for kcet and kcet 50 percent then they will consider droppers marks too ???? or they will not consider droppers 2021 marks

Subhalaxmi Biswal 1st Jun, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

The KEA administers the KCET for admissions to UG engineering, pharmacy, agricultural science and architecture courses. To be suitable for admission, a learner must have obtained  45 per cent or more marks in the II PUC science subjects. The rank is determined by providing equal weightage to the II PUC science score and the KCET score.

Total marks in the II PUC exam and the KCET 2022 will be brought into account while specifying students’ eligibility for entry to professional courses. Whether or not you are a dropper or not, your marks in 10+2 will be considered while preparing the merit list. Your score in your last qualifying exam and your KCET score will contain a 50% weightage each. The score of your last qualifying exam which is class 12th will be taken into account. It actually doesn't matter whether you are a dropper or not it will have no impact on the rules and regulations and you will be treated as a normal candidate before the authority as well.

Regards.
