sir please tell me , how many marks should be required in class 12 board examination ,for jee advance

Sajal Trivedi 26th Apr, 2022

Hello aspirant

The JEE Advanced 2022 eligibility criteria have been published on the official website of IIT Bombay. To take the JEE Advanced 2022, candidates must meet the qualifying criteria's conditions and prerequisites. Candidates who applied for JEE Advanced 2020/2021 but did not appear for the exam are allowed to apply for JEE Advanced 2022, according to the authorities.

Last year, the Education Minister declared that the JEE Advanced eligibility condition of a minimum of 75% in class 12 will be waived. Candidates pursuing admissions to IITs through JEE Advanced must meet a number of requirements, including a qualifying exam, requisite marks, and more. So if you are from general category then you must need to secure minimum 75 percent marks in you 12 board to be eligible for jee advance. And if you belonged to SC / ST then you must secure atleast 65 percent marks in your 12 board. For more information you can visit our site by clicking on link given below.

gseb board pcm mark 260/300 and gujcet 102/120,any chance for cs in nirma

Piyush 26th Apr, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your Category, I am considering you as a GENERAL Category.

Now, looking at the previous year GUJCET Cutoff trends and analytics, Candidates belonging to General category should score at least 130-160 marks out of 300 in theory part to be eligible for GUJCET exam.

further, please note that the above prediction is based on the previous year GUJCET cutoff which bounds to get change every year, as it is based on various factors like : Difficulty level of the paper, previous year Cutoff trends, number of aspirants appearing for exam.

Further, if you wish to know more about the Previous year GUJCET Cutoff then you can follow teh below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gujcet-cutoff

I hope that this will help.

my board percentage is 71% in 2022 board exam .But I want to study in nit for b.tech course . so I am worried about that 75% criteria is waived in 2022 or not for nit admission or not plzz reply this question . can I take admission in nit or not.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Apr, 2022

Hi

Yes, you are eligible for NITs in 2022 with 71% in 12th

This is because,

There's no 75 % criteria for admission in NITs in 2022

For your reference,

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-

---------------------------) Qualification required :- to be eligible  for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification from a recognised board.

Course

Required Criteria based on Class 12th  or equivalent

B.E/B.Tech

Passed qualifying examination with Physics and   Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of :-

----)Chemistry

-----)Biotechnology

-----)Biology

----) Technical Vocational subject.

B.Arch

Passed qualifying examination with

-----)Mathematics,

-----)Physics,

------) Chemistry

To be eligible for B. Arch , you have at least 50% in aggregate of Physics, chemistry and Maths and also 50 % in overall in 12th/equivalent

B.Planning

Passed qualifying examination with Mathematics

You must have at least 50% marks in Maths in 12th and also 50% in 12th /equivalent overall.

-------------------------) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible  for JEE mains 2022 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent  in 2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020

-------------------------) There is no age limit to be eligible

-------------------------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main for BE /Btech.

But yes,

To be eligible for BE/BTech  in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category or needs to be in top 20 percentile of their board examination.

IMPORTANT NOTE :-  This minimum percentage barrier of 75 % - 65% for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs  has been lifted off for jee main 2022 . It means to be eligible all you need to be eligible is to have at least passed 12th .

I am from ISC board and my subject combination is Geography, Computer, Pol Sc, History. After class 12 I wish to study further with Geography ,can I take geography as I dont have Economics, maths, sociology also in my subject combination

ashitabaksi04 23rd Jun, 2022

Hello,

In order to opt for a degree in Geography, its certainly not important to have other subjects as Maths or Sociology in your 12th. You can definitely pursue a bachelors degree in Geography without them. You did have geography in your 12th and that is more than enough for you to be eligible for a degree in Geography.

I think Im failed in physics. My board is CBSE from Delhi. I have PCB in 11th, Im asking that if Im failing in physics... will my physical education paper marks added to the failing subject to get me passed in 2022???

Anurag Khanna 25th Apr, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

No your physical education's marks will not be adjusted against the marks of Physics subject, this is because Physical education is an additional subject but Physics is a main subject of class 12th, so if you are fail in Physics then you will be considered as fail in overall class 12th.

Now what you can do is you can appear for compartment examination if you get failed in Physics and if you get passed in compartment examination then you will get new marksheet where you will be considered as pass.

I hope you got your answer.

Good Luck!!!
