Hi

This is because,

i have passed 12th board through cbse. And had mathematics exam on demand through nios. Can i apply for DUET.

Piyush 9th Mar, 2022

hello aspirant,

i hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that YES, you can apply for DUET Exams even if you have cleared your mathematics exam through NIOS and Class 12th from CBSE Board. Y ou can take admission in DU with NIOS marksheet .

Students who have completed class 12th from National Institute of Open Learning are surely eligible to take admission in regular college of DU. This is simply because NIOS is a recognized board.

further,  students who have studied in NIOS are eligible to apply and study in DU. Just not in DU, they are eligible for admissions in all private colleges/institutions.

I hope that this will help.

sir /mam mai 2017 mai 10th class up board se Kiya, kyaa Mai NIOS se next year (2022-23) me 12th kar jee mains and advance ka paper de Sakta Hu

Anurag Khanna 7th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Yes definitely you can do so. For JEE-Main and JEE-Advance gap years between class 12th and class 10th are not considered so even if you had passed class 12th in 2017 and did not appear for class 12th yet but if you appear for class 12th examination through NIOS board in academic year 2022-23 then you will definitely be eligible for JEE-Main and JEE-Advance 2023 and if this is going to be your first attempt of class 12th examinations then you would be eligible for JEE-Main 2023, 2024 and 2025 and for JEE-Advance you will be eligible for JEE-Advance 2023 and 2024, provided that you must qualify JEE-Main of that examination years.

You can check out detailed eligibility criteria form the link given below :-

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2022 (Released) - Check Age Limit, Qualifying Marks, Number of Attempts (careers360.com)

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Check Age Limit, Domicile, Average Marks (careers360.com)

Above criteria are for 2022 but they usually remains same for every year except that of class 12th percentage criteria i.e. 75% criteria so before 2020 there was requirement of minimum 75% marks in class 12th to be eligible for admission to NITs/IIITs on the basis of JEE-Main score or to be eligible for JEE-Advance but due to the pandemic this restriction has been lifted off and now the candidate should have passed in all the subjects of class 12th but if next year this criteria would get restored then again there will be requirement of 75% so make your target of at least 75% in class 12th to stay on safer side.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
