VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam) is a national level exam for 4 VITs all over India. It is an entrance exam through which candidate can take admission in various branches offered by Vellore Institutions. All VITs are private and prestigious colleges, whose placement records compete with the top colleges like IITs and NITs. The entrance examination is conducted once every year.
As you forgot to book your slot, so you are not allowed to chose the examination centre. It will be chosen automatically depending on how many slots are not booked till now. I suggest you, as soon as you receive the admit card, visit the exam location a day ago and observe the center so that there is no confusion during the examination day.

AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination) , is an entrance test for UG programs in the field of engineering . It is a national level exam.
The slots are booked like FCFS algorithm in Operating System, that is, first come first serve.
As you have mentioned, you forgot slot booking in phase 1, the slot will be provided by exam conducting authorities as per the availability.
Then, you can view your slot in your dashboard in web portal. If for some reason, your center changes by AEEE, you will be informed at the earliest through Email.
