I have completed B.Sc in biology with general subjects Chemistry, Botany, Zoology. Now I want to go for M.Sc but Im confused that which specialisation should I opt.! Please suggest M.Sc courses for biology students after which theres a good scope in both private and government sector.

Hello!

Yes, you can pursue PGDMLT after Bachelor's degree in in Botany in any institute. The eligibility of PGD in Medical Laboratory Technology is to have pursued a BSC in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany or any other equivalent subjects with a minimum of 40% marks. Aspirant s should have completed 20 years of age at the time of admission, and not crossed the age of 35 years.

can I go for botany honours if i do not have physics in 10+2??

Hello aspirant,

In order to pursue the Bsc Botany Hons Course you must have to have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the compulsory subjects. So, without physics, you cannot opt for Botany Hons.

(Hons.) (Botany) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks secured in Biology subject and/or in aggregate from a recognized board of the country

The minimum required qualification for you to establish a career as a botanist is a bachelor's degree in science . Moreover, if you wish to go for higher studies, then you would be required to specialise in one of the areas of botany. The levels of courses offered are bachelor's, master's and doctoral.
