I have completed M.Sc BOTANY in 2012 to 2014. Im working in seeds company as a Assistant Plant Beeder. can I eligible for MSc Genetics and Plant Breeding course please reply me.
Hello,
Generally speaking the eligibility criteria to pursue MSc Genetics and Plant Breeding is passed BSc Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Biotechnology/Life Science/Botany/Biology or any other equivalent degree from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate, admission process may be based on the merit of the qualifying examination, or done through entrance tests, so you can pursue MSc Genetics and Plant Breeding if you have studied BSc Botany at ug level in universities such as Calcutta University/Naini Agricultural Institute, Allahabad to name a few, you have to check out the eligibility criteria of specific universities prior to applying as some may emphasis on having studied specific subjects at ug level, though there are exceptions where you can apply even if you have not studied bsc agriculture at ug level, the eligibility criteria for MSc genetics and plant breeding will be based on graduate degree, not on your MSc degree.

which code I will fill in neet 2022 ,if I am a student of bsc 3rd year with subject chemistry, zoology and botany. Also my 3rd year paper will be in April or May 2022. ??
Hi
In your case,
There are 2 cases:-
-
Case1:- Your bsc gets completed during neet form filling.
In this case you need to choose code 6 as it is for those who have passed BSc with at least two subjects out of physics chemistry and Biology and you fulfill this as you have chemistry and Biology( botany & zoology) in your bsc
-
Case 2:- Your bsc isn't completed while filling neet application form.
In this case, you need to choose the code 02 while filling neet 2022 application form
This is because,
Though you are doing Bsc your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology/biotechnology remains your 10+2
While, those who have passed 1st year of 3 year graduation with all the three subject i. e physics chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology needs to select code 5 . You can't choose code 5 as you don't have physics in bsc
Here's a short brief of Neet codes :-
--------) Code 1 :- code 1 is for class 12th board 2022 examination appearing students with physics, chemistry, biology and English or have have already appeared but results are awaited i. e have not been declared.
--------) Code 2 :- code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2/higher /senior secondary/ Indian School Certificate Examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English
--------) Code 3 :- code 3 says it is for those passed their intermediate / pre- degree examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English ,your physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology should also contain practical exam.
--------) Code 4 :- pre - medical degree with Physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology after passing hsc i. e 10+2 or puc or equivalent.
--------) Code 5 :- code 5 is for all those who have passed 1 st year 3 year graduation with all the three of Physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology
--------) Code 6 :- code 6 is for all those students who have passed BSc with at least any two of following subjects :-
>>>>Physics,
>>>>chemistry ,
>>>>biology/biotechnology
--------) Code 7 :- code 7 is for those who have passed their examination from foreign board which is equivalent of Indian 10+2 board.

can i opt botany as general elective with bsc physics?
The subjects you can take along with your BSc Physics is entirely dependent on the college/university you are studying at. If they offers the course, then you can take. But in general for BSc Physics the combination don't occur with Botany. The most efficient elective for a career in Physics is that you must keep Mathematics compulsorily as an elective because many Universities needs Mathematics mandatorily in your BSc. Apart from this you can take Electronics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer science as electives which can be highly beneficial for your career ahead.
