Well, nowadays, most colleges have mass recruitors for both ECE and CSE, and all these students are being placed into IT sector. So there is not much difference. However, with ECE you can also choose between hardware and software. With ECE, you can go for Software development, web and android development, machine learning, image processing and many more. You can also switch to IoT. You can join various government sectors in electronics department. Joining various PSUs, railways for signal and communication department, mobile tower companies like BSNL for communication related fields. Moreover, you can also join defense technical stream with electronics department.
However, with CSE, only software fields like Software development, web and android development, machine learning, image processing and more are available.
So the choice is yours.

Hey Sanjana,
At first I would like to inform you that I'm also pursuing my studies in B.Tech 3rd year in Information Technology department in this eminent Engineering Institution, Techno India SaltLake, Kolkata . So it's quite easy for me to provide you several brief but vital points regarding your query.
Here I’ve divided the detailed review of my college campus into 3-4 categories to make this article easily understandable to you.
Academics and Faculties:
Our faculties are extremely cooperative, flexible, enthusiastic, open-minded and very much student-friendly. Also their amiable and sophisticated manner and impressive teaching style compelled me to praise them again and again. Also by regular basis class tests, our professors encourage all the s to engage themselves in question-answer trivia to remove all of their confusions passionately. However, one thing I must add in case of Academics i.e. as per latest trend, our course and curriculum is fully updated to make us industry-ready and we are also supplied with many important information about the policies and requirements of many reputed companies to make ourselves always modern and well-resourced. Moreover our college management is very much sincere about their guidance to their students, so they conduct different types of workshops, training programs , seminars, entrepreneurship etc organised by IIT and renowned companies like Microsoft , Google, Oracle, IBM, Intel etc. to make us self-sufficient and well-equipped for upcoming campus-interview.
Our college also offers various Internship facilities to provide technical and productive experience which helps us to push forward companies when promoted for extensive operations. The alumni network also provides an online portal where we can discuss any type of issues regarding our B.Tech course (like industrial experience, competitive coding, interview preparation, course-curriculum, different competitive exams etc i.e. anything) in detailed version.
Infrastructure :
Our campus is highly prodigious, stunningly beautiful, ragging-free and facilitated with all elementary and developed technologies and modern and luxurious amenities; like ac and well-furnished labs, comfortable and spacious seminar rooms, large cafeteria, CCTV-surveillance system, high-quality medical facilities, library full of latest books, magazines and journals easily accessible by students, canteen with hygienic, mouth-watering and pocket-friendly dishes, strong Wi-Fi facilities, Bank, ATM, clubs for extra-curricular activities apart from studies for improving our skills in robotics, IOT, codings, photography etc, charming and adorable gardens and open-air playgrounds, splendid swimming pools, magnificent and affordable hostel facilities, basket and tennis ball court, GD room etc. Our classrooms are also commodious and equipped with utmost facilities like screens, projectors, informative charts, proper benches and well-lighted windows. ·
Placement Wing:
Most of us know that, in this developing market of unemployability, the placements are not only dependable on the market’s demands or company’s recruitment policies, the most important thing regarding this is the candidate’s own creative and technical skills and other necessary positive qualities. However here I must mention one special thing about TISL that in this college among the B. Tech courses both CSE and IT has almost 100% placement records considering those candidates who sit for campus-placement. This college has the highest in-campus placement record of 25 lakhs per annum and the highest off-campus record of 39 lakhs per annum (Amazon). And the most importantly their average package of every year is 5-5.5 lpa .
Many genuinely eminent companies like TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, CTS, Infosys etc are the mass recruiters in this renowned institution. Moreover as our college is situated in the crib of the IT hub of Kolkata, multiple popular companies like Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Fusion Charts, IBS Software Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd, Hitachi Consulting, Asahi India Glass, Johnson Controls, Videocon, Godrej, Cummins, CGI etc visit its campus every year. Apart from CSE-IT, the average placement records of other departments in our college are quite impressive providing around 80-85% jobs offered by both multinational companies and startups and various top roles like designer, tester, analyser, developer, technician, administrator, supporter etc are also offered to the candidates there.
Remuneration:
The total fees required to complete the B. Tech curriculum in 4 years is almost 4.2 lakhs which is enough modest compared to many other reputed colleges in Kolkata. Moreover for economically poor but meritorious students, there’s a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme where the total fees in 4 years is diminished to almost 88 thousands. Also, one thing I need to mention, bank loans are also available in this regard.
Hope that the above information is more than sufficient for you to diminish your query. For further requirements you can also visit the following link:

While BBA seems to be the obvious undergraduate degree for MBA aspirants, pursuing BTech is also a great option. Both BBA and BTech have their very own benefits if a student considers them as a base for an MBA.
A student going for an MBA after completing BBA will have the necessary basic knowledge to excel in the course. This will make it relatively easier for a BBA student to build upon their concepts of business and marketing in the MBA course.
The popularity of pursuing an MBA after Btech is very high. For any graduate who has worked in the technical field, an MBA degree offers immense prospects of growth in terms of career options as well as salary. Plus, since students get to learn principles of two different streams, which gives them an extra edge in terms of being versatile.
