Can I do regular MBA (Business Analytics) after graduating (BA) from Open University YCMOU in 2022?

Hello Gaurav,

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik offers only MBA in distance mode. It is a two years Post Graduation degree course in Business Administration.

Admission is based on Common Entrance Test. Candidates must have minimum 45  percentage (40 percentage for Reservation Category candidates) in their Graduation from a recognised Institution.

However, to become a business analyst, there are a few skills you would require. Business Analyst is s a highly appealing career path. Like any career, though, the nature of the work itself is a major factor in whether Business Analyst is the right career for you. The skills and competencies you have will, to a large degree, determine your success. Most business analysts have a bachelor's degree and several years of work experience in IT, software engineering, business, or finance. Because a full-time bachelor's degree program typically takes four years to complete, you need to study for at least four years to be qualified for entry-level positions.

Business analysts bridge the gap in understanding between the management of an organization, and the complex data and technical systems businesses use in hopes of improving processes and helping impact decision-making. The role is very much in demand by a large range of companies across the world, who continue to recruit and hire for business analyst roles.


Eligibility:-

A graduation degree is mandatory.

There are many private sector institutions such as banks that are looking to hire a business analyst with any bachelor's degree, including B.com.

Most employees require candidate to have Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, but some prefer candidates with a Master's Degree - Certified Management Consultant (CMC) may have the best job prospects.

You should hold a degree in the relevant field. It is also useful if you carry sound domain knowledge along with relevant experience.

Business analysts must possess analytical skills, along with logical and critical thinking. This helps in interpreting business needs and choosing the best solution for a challenging business problem.

Understanding client needs. Explaining changes to management. Problem-solving with IT.

Communication is central to a business analyst’s day-to-day—so it’s important to hone your spoken and written skills as you start out in your career.

Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is required for a business analyst. This helps in accessing, retrieving, manipulating, and analyzing data. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL database, Oracle DB, and SQLite is crucial.

Business analysts must know to work on various data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, and PowerBI. This will help them create reports and dashboards, forecast data, and make vital business decisions.

Knowledge of programming languages, such as R and Python, is a prerequisite. Programming knowledge helps in solving complex problems and performing faster data analysis.

This is to inform you that a bcom student can easily pursue business analytics course , also business analytics expects you to be good at maths and statistics therefore once you join the course a good expertise needs to be maintained in this course, hence regular practice is required to be taken into consideration , also you will get an opportunity to form an analysis of SAS, R Programming , Stata .


thus, analytics, business analytics does not have any restriction for a B.com (//B.com) student.

What was the shortlist composite score for IIM Kashipur Business Analytics,for 2021-2023?

Hello Aspirant!

The Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur is one of the most recent IIMs, established to continue the legacy of the esteemed management institutions. Established in 2011 by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, the institute offers four programs, of which three are management courses in the postgraduate level while one is a PhD program.

IIM Kashipur, which was established under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow, has slowly but surely established its footing in the Indian business school industry.

The IIM Kashipur admission criteria 2022-24 includes qualifying CAT cut off percentile :

  • General category students: 93 percentile
  • NC-OBC candidates: 74 percentile
  • SC candidates: 54 percentile
  • SC and PwD candidates:  40 percentile.

IIM Kashipur admission is planned in a two-phase manner. The first phase includes shortlisting of candidates who meet the minimum CAT cut off criteria. In phase two, the shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the Personal Interview (PI) round. The PI round is expected to be conducted in February-March. The PI date and venue will be shared with the shortlisted students in email.

I am a MBA with Major in Business Analytics & minor in corporate social responsibility. Am I eligible for PHD in social work from IGNOU?

Hope you are doing well.

Sorry to say but you are not eligible for PhD in social work from IGNOU.

The eligibility criteria is A Master's degree in Social Work is required to gain admission to a doctoral program. In some subjects, doing a Master's in Philosophy (M.Phil.) is a prerequisite to start PhD. Also, M.Phil. students will be exempted from the entrance exams.

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you, you should work hard and should focus on achieving high and high in entrance exam it totally depends upon the examination if paper is simple then cutoff goes high gradually and if paper or examination is hard then cutoff goes down. So if your goal is just to pursue MBA in Business Analytics, irrespective of the institute offering this course. Then I will advise you to give as many entrance exams as possible.
