B.V.Sc.
Hello,
There is no veterinary college offering BVSc & AH in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) through AP EAMCET.
In Andhra Pradesh, recognised veterinary colleges for BVSc are in:
• NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram
• College of Veterinary Science, Proddatur
• College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati
Admission to these requires:
• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (at lest 50% for general category)
• AP EAMCET exam (also called AP EAPCET)
• State level counselling and seat allotment
So if you wish to study veterinary science, you must apply through EAPCET and consider one of these colleges.
Hope it helps !
Hello
BVSc Admission
CUET not applicable for BVSc.
Admission is done only through NEET-UG.
You need PCB in 12th grade and must qualify NEET.
ICAR uses NEET scores for 15% All India Quota seats in vet colleges.
State vet colleges fill 85 percentage seats through NEET and state quota.
No central universities offer BVSc through CUET.
hope this helps you .
Scoring 438 marks with AIR 141764 in neet 2025 reduces your chances of getting government Veterinary College due to high cutoff. However, you still have a chance of getting private veterinary colleges.
What You should do?
If you got 9753 rank in EAPCET 2025 and you belong to ST category then your chances for getting admission in SVVU Tirupati for BVSc and AH are a bit low in first round because in past years the closing rank for ST category was between 4000 to 6000 and your rank is higher than that so it is not fully safe for round one admission but still you should not lose hope because sometimes in second or third round the cutoff goes up and students with higher ranks also get seats if some seats remain empty or others don’t join so you must apply for counselling and fill the form correctly keep SVVU in your list and also add other veterinary colleges which are under the same quota for ST category your category benefit will still help you in later rounds also make sure to upload all your documents like 10th and 12th marksheets caste certificate and EAPCET rank card before the deadline because if anything is missing they can cancel your seat even if your rank is eligible after you submit everything keep checking the official website daily because updates about rounds and cutoffs come suddenly and if your name comes you will have to go for document verification in person so always stay ready with your original certificates if you get selected then you can pay the fee and confirm your seat if not then wait for next round sometimes ST cutoffs rise even till 8000 to 9000 in final round though it’s not always guaranteed so just don’t give up easily and try till the end if you don’t get SVVU in the final list then try for private veterinary colleges or other government colleges where your ST quota can help you get admission because rank 9753 is not too far from the past cutoff and it still has some chance but only in later rounds not the first one and if your marks are good and you have NCC or sports quota then your chance becomes a little better also check if you have farmer quota or local area benefit because that can give you small extra weightage so overall your rank is not very safe but not totally hopeless either it’s in the middle range so just apply carefully attend counselling and wait for the result you never know which round might work in your favour best of luck for your admission .
With a KCET veterinary rank of around 17,000 in the OBC 3A category and under the SNQ quota , your chances of getting a B.V.Sc seat in a government veterinary college in Karnataka are very low . Recent cutoffs for OBC 3A category in government colleges usually close below 8,000 ranks . You can consider private veterinary colleges , participate in all counselling rounds , and explore related courses like B.Sc in Animal Husbandry or Allied Sciences.
Dear candidate , Yes , with an overall rank of 424 and SC category rank of 239 , you have a very strong chance of getting admission to B. V . Sc through All India Quota . Previous year SC cutoffs were around 2 lakh ,so your rank is well within the admission range . Make sure to register for VCI counselling and also check state quota options .
With 398 marks in NEET 2025, you may not get a seat in top government veterinary colleges. But you still have a chance in some government colleges under reserved categories or in mop-up rounds. Many private veterinary colleges also accept scores around 398. Keep checking counselling updates in your state and All India Quota.
You can pursue a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) course in India without taking the NEET exam. Some colleges offer direct admission to BVSc programs based on Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
*Eligibility Criteria:
- Completion of 12th standard with a minimum of 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
*Top Colleges Offering BVSc without NEET:
- *Government Colleges:
- Junagadh Agricultural University: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 28,000
- Odisha University of Agricultural Technology: Offers BVSc
- West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 16,320
- *Assam Agricultural University*: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 99,550
- Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University: Offers MVSc with fees ranging from 1.29 lakhs
- *Private Colleges:
- Parul University: Offers veterinary courses
- Centurion University of Technology and Management: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 6.5 lakhs
- Abhilashi University: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 4.5 lakhs
- Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University: Offers BVSc with fees ranging from 8.6 lakhs
Important Note:
While some private universities admit students to BVSc courses without NEET, it's crucial to verify the course validity and license recognition with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Unfortunately, with just 60 NEET marks, a PwD candidate is unlikely to get admitted to a government bachelor of veterinary science college in Maharashtra. Even for special categories like PWD Government universities often need for better grades. Despite the reservation benefit for PWD applicants, there is a fierce competition for veterinary places, particularly at Government College.
With your marks you have a good chance of getting into Bvsc at OUAT Bhubaneswar as an Odisha resident and OBC student but it depends on the competition and the specific cut off for your category
Your 142 marks in the OUAT entrance exam combined with your 90.33% in 10th and 94% and 12th gives you better chances
Here is more detailed information:-
1. OUAT uses a 50% weightage for the entrance exam score 25% for 10th marks and 25% for 12th marks
2. You can use previous year cutoffs for a guidance while the official 2025 cut off will be released after the exam is done
3. As an OBC candidate you have slightly better chances because the cutoffs are slightly lower for OBC category compared to general category
4. You have good chances but you need to check of the exact cutoff that will be vary based on the number of applicants and their scores
But don't worry you have higher chances and you could get admission easily for confirmation you need to check the cutoffs
Hope that helps!
