see to become eligible for ms or mtech courses in abroad university you need to prepare for ielts, toefel, gre like exams which ever applicable for the particular university, also you may have seen that abroad marks system are based on 4 point scale where our marks or cgpa is calculated as 10 pointer scale. so in every university either they have particular marks criteria to become eligible for admission, also your ielts/toefel/gre scores matters as well as if you have any research publications or journals published in graduation level, it would be beneficial to become shortlishting.

No, after completing MBBS in India you cannot take direct admission to any of the institute of Canada for MS. First of all you must apply for residency of Canada and you have to appear for certain exams like MCCEE, MCCQE-I and MCCQE-II. If you qualify these exams and get a residency of Canada, than only you are eligible to take admission in any of the university/college of Canada.

Note that there are very less number of seats reserved for International students in Canada so the competition will be tough.

Both British Council and IDP conducts IELTS examination under the authorization of Cambridge and so the it does not differ much between British Council and IDP. Both have very similar test pattern and format and you can choose any one of them, you can consider the Exam center and timing, which suits you more. Most of it depends on your performance, how much you score in IELTS exam and does not matter on the agency (British Council/IDP).

You also will have to get a score between 6.5 to 8.0 in IELTS. The living costs in Canada are cheaper than in other foreign countries ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 CAD.
