Assuming youre a General Category Student, you must target atleast between 550+/720 for prospects securing a seat in some of the Good Goverment Medical Colleges. However, today you even have many good State and Private Medical Colleges at lower Score. But this wont lead you to become a Cardiologist.
After MBBS, you need to pursue Postgraduation/Specialization M.Ch/MS/DNB in Cardiology, for being a Cardiologist in future.

Becoming a Doctor and that too a Cardiologist is a dream come true and you really need to work day and night to make that possible.
The roadmap incase of India for becoming a Cardio surgeon or a Cardiologist medicine doctor, you need to follow the following:
India lacks a lot of doctors and we really need them. I wish all the best.
Firstly you need to prepare for NEET and secure a seat at some of the Good Goverment, State or Private Medical Colleges in India. After MBBS, maybe you may have work experience as a Jr Resident and parallely prepare for NEET PG. Once you clear PG Entrance in India or maybe Abroad, you need to pursue M.Ch/MS/DNB related PG Course followed by a career as an Cardiologist.

In India, NO. For becoming a Professional Cardiologist you need to pursue a MBBS Degree followed by Specialization in Surgery/Cardiology, MS/MD(Cardio)/DNB/MCh/Masters in Cardiac Surgery, to become qualified as a Cardiologist. For pursuing MBBS in India be it from AIIMS, Other Government Medical Colleges, State Medical Colleges or Private Medical Universities, on Merit or Management Quota, you do require atleast the NEET Scorecard for Counselling. Hence, you cannot become a Cardiologist without giving NEET.
A cardiologist is a doctor who specializes in treating conditions and diseases in the cardiovascular system. The cardiovascular system consists of blood, blood vessels and the heart. They treat heart attacks, high blood pressure, heart failure etc.
