CAT application
Hi aspirant,
In the mentioned scenario, you should enter the date of birth as on your marksheets. See it could create a hinderence in future during the counselling process or at the time of documents verification. The best possible solution to it could be using any other government authorised birth proof such as AADHAR, Pan card or driving licence which has same dob as on your certificates. Else you can apply for correction in your birth certificate which is comparatively much easier than getting marksheets updated.
Hope it helps!!
Hello,
The terms of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) are different and not be equally treated in India.
Like EWS state government is authorised to extend the income limit further for candidates seeking reservation under EWS category in the state-owned colleges and state government's jobs.
And ebc this service is used to get the ebc Certificate which can be used for Scholarship in Education and reservation in Employment under Govt. it can be a class certificate, is issued to those who fall below the poverty line.
So if they are wants you to EWS certificate number you can't mention there EBC certificate number. Because both are different. Now may be there EBC certificate options otherwise you can apply EWS category certificate if it's possible for you.
All the best.
CAT 2021 Application is not yet released. It is expected to be released in the month of August. When the field that you are filling does not accept decimal value then you need to enter the nearest whole value of that number. As you have scored 526.82 marks you can round it off to 527 and the value in the respective field. You need to skip indicating the decimal value.
Hello, hope you are doing well!
No, once submitted the CAT application form can't be edited. So it is very important to fill the form without any error in the first and last attempt. Information that cannot be edited in CAT form include personal details, academic details and selection of test cities.
Replying to your query from the comments' section-
Application process is the foremost step and its not that big a problem if you have done a minor mistake. If there's too much difference in the marks you have got and the marks you have entered then its definitely a problem. Because what happens is if you have mentioned more than the marks you have got then at the time of document verification you might be doubted to have intentionally entered more marks to get selected. And if you have entered too less marks than that of what you have actually got, you might not be considered eligible only. If your mistake is not causing these two future events to happen then its fine. Your mistake will be rectified when you go for your document verification i.e. the final step to seek admission. You may have to mention you made a mistake or they will find the mistake themselves while tallying your marksheets with application details and they will give you a chance to rectify.
So, don't worry if you have not made an extreme mistake in your application which might create extreme situations in the future.

Hi Aspirant,
CAT form provide column with 'nnn.nn' its a space to fill up your percentage of marks. the first 3 nnn can be used only when you scored 100 marks otherwise you have to use only 2 digits of your percentage od marks anywhere in between 45% to 99.99%.
so for example:

The Caste Certificate of evey state usually comprises of a fixed format in which the starting digits appears same in every certificate of a respective state but the end digits keep on changing. You just need to fill the last 6 digit available in you caste certificate in the column asking for it in the CAT form. Hello aspirant,
When you are entering your personal/educational/whichever concerned details while filling the form, there is certain period in which you have to complete it. After that period the session expires, hence you have to reload the page and refill the form accordingly. Regarding the percentage glitch, enter your obtained and total marks respectively and the system will itself detect the percentage and displays on the screen. If not, reload/refresh the page and check your Wi-Fi/ data connection too. Hope this helps.
