how to calculate tnea cutoff for cbse students class 12th what should be done with the rank list ? what is the next process?

Ishita Upadhyay 7th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

For cbse you should normalize your marks. Just follow these steps to calculate your cutoff.

Step1: identify the highest marks for maths as x, physics as y and chemistry as z ( in cbse exam)

Step2: let your math marks be a, phy be b and chem be c.

Step3: cutoff = a/x + (b/y)*0.5 + (c/z)*0.5

Done! Thats your cutoff out of 200. The procedure is the same for applying to the counselling.

The Rank List of the candidates for TNEA 2020 is prepared which is based upon the marks obtained by the candidates in PCM i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. After checking the names in the TNEA 2020 Rank List candidates can get admission to various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu on the basis of their Rank

What After TNEA Rank List 2020? DoTE will be assigned to all applicable applicants. After the publication of TNEA rank list 2020, candidates can start the counselling for the special reservation that include all special categories.

Hope it helps!

Dear candidate

No, there wouldn't be any special concession for cbse students based on that aspect, the concessions will only be based on two main factors which are on merit or marks of the previous examination and annual income of the candidates for some colleges.

will NIOS BOARD STUDENTS can also be get promoted like CBSE students because situation is worst than ever now ....

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 5th Jul, 2020

As on July 3rd, NIOS has postponed the Class 10 and 12th exams due to the Pandemic. The official notification doesn't release any new schedule but says that the exams scheduled to commence from July 17th stand postponed until further notice. So it is difficult to state whether NIOS will follow CBSE route. This might be difficult because CBSE and NIOS have different working patterns. So we might have to wait to hear from NIOS rather than speculating. Please watch out for official information regarding the same at the official website. Please also do not fall a prey to fake social media news.
