which home state should i fill between chattisgarh and bihar for medical govt. college

Nikita 20th Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant!

Since you haven't mentioned your home state, i would recommend you to fill your home state only in the application form to get government medical college as 85% of the total seats in the country falls under "state quota" in all government and dental medical colleges and there are good chances of you getting seat under home state quota.

All the best!

I belong to Chattisgarh will I get NIT raipur as a home state in 58 percentile

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Aug, 2021

Hi

You have not mentioned the category you belong to so assuming that you belong to general category

With 58   percentile

You may not even qualify jee main

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 and jee main 2021 expected qualifying cut off percentile is 90-95 percentile. ,

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

I am extremely sorry to tell you but with above predicted rank you have a very low chance in NIT Raipur for any branch even under home state quota

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, closing rank for gender-neutral  for general category was  93115 rank    under home state in NIT Raipur and it was for Bio Medical Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This  prediction is on the basis of past year cut off data but  cut closing rank changes every year depending upon  number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

To improve your score in your  remaining attempts of JEE main you should focus on your preparation go through previous year question papers ,mock test papers and to help you in your preparation we have jee main knockout out for you, for which  is provided below, target at least 7000 rank i. e around 99.3 percentile to get into NIT Surathkal for IT even under home state
