This creates opportunities for the talented chemistry graduates, since they have the in-depth knowledge about various chemicals, compositions and their properties. The government laboratories, universities or colleges and the industries, mainly chemical and pharmaceutical, are the three major sectors which recruit the chemistry graduates. For the entry level jobs in these fields, graduates need at least a bachelors degree in chemistry. But for the senior positions like in research, they need PhD in the same. Other career choices for them lie in the oil, gas and power sectors.

Hi,
The minimum qualification to become a chemist is to have an undergraduate degree in chemistry, having a masters degree in chemistry is even better. Take science group in class 12, then take BSc science as your UG course. After BSc do MSc Chemistry and you will be able to do your career in the field of chemistry.
To open a chemist shop one is required to have registered as pharmacist. For this you need to join pharmacy course. You can pursue bachelors in pharmacy or diploma in pharmacy for obtaining that.
B.phrama is a four years graduation course and D.pharma is a two years diploma course. As you main aim is to open chemist shop you can do D.pharm.
Hope this helps.
