Question : Directions: In a certain code language, CUT is written as BD21SU. How will DRY be written in that language?

Option 1: C18EXZ

Option 2: CE18XZ

Option 3: CZ18EX

Option 4: CE18ZX

Team Careers360 23rd Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: CE18XZ

Solution : Given:
CUT is written as BD21SU.

Subtract and add 1 to the place value of the first and third letter and write the place value of the second letter of CUT, to obtain the required code –

Thus, CUT is coded as BD21SU.
Similarly, follow the same pattern for DRY –

So, DRY is coded as CE18XZ. Hence, the second option is correct.

Question :
BD and CE are the two medians of the triangle ABC. If EO is 7 cm, then the length of CE is:

Option 1: 28 cm

Option 2: 14 cm

Option 3: 21 cm

Option 4: 35 cm

Team Careers360 25th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 21 cm

Solution :
BD and CE intersect at O.
It divides CE in CO : EO in a 2 : 1 ratio.
Total 2 + 1 = 3 units
Given EO = 7 cm
So, CE = 7 × 3 = 21 cm
Hence, the correct answer is 21 cm.

I am civil engineering graduate , i want to appear for Gate cse what should be the correct roadmap for me ?

Tanya Gupta 22nd Jan, 2024

Hello,

As you're interested in appearing for GATE CSE even though you're a civil engineering graduate. I would suggest you to st art with the basics, since you're transitioning from civil engineering to computer science, it's important to build a strong foundation with the concepts of computer science like programming, data structures, algorithms and computer networks. Take a look at the GATE CSE syllabus to understand the topics you need to cover. Focus on areas like computer organization, operating systems, databases, and software engineering. Create a study plan that covers all the topics in the syllabus.

Solving previous year GATE CSE question papers will give you an idea of the exam pattern and help you identify your strengths and weaknesses.

Hoping this helps you,

Thank you
