Hello there,

To pursue LLB after completing your B.E. in Civil Engineering from JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) , you will need to follow a specific admission process. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the procedure:

Eligibility Criteria for LLB at JNU:

  1. Educational Qualification :

    • You must have a graduate degree (which you already have with a B.E. in Civil Engineering).

    • You should have at least 50% marks in your bachelor’s degree (for general category). There are relaxations for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

  2. Age Limit : There is no upper age limit for applying to the LLB program at JNU.

    Admission Process:

  3. Entrance Exam : JNU conducts the JNU Entrance Examination (JNUEE) for admissions to LLB programs. You will need to qualify in this exam to secure a seat.

  4. JNU LLB Exam Pattern :

    • The exam is typically conducted in offline mode .
    • It consists of objective-type questions (multiple choice questions).
    • The questions will primarily test your knowledge in areas like General Knowledge , English , Legal Aptitude , and Reasoning .

  5. Application Form :

    • The JNU admission process is conducted online. You will need to visit the official JNU Admission Portal ( https://admission.jnu.ac.in/ ) to fill out the application form.

    • The application form will be available usually in April-May . Keep an eye on the portal for updates.

    • Application Fee : An application fee is required for the exam, which can be paid online.

  6. Prepare for JNUEE :

    • Focus on Legal Aptitude , General Knowledge , and English Language .

    • Get familiar with important legal terms , current affairs , and reasoning patterns .

    • Practice mock tests and previous years’ papers to get an idea of the exam pattern.

  7. Result and Counselling :

    • After the exam, JNU will announce the results. If you qualify, you will be called for the counselling session.

    • During counselling, you will need to provide your documents, such as your graduation degree , marksheet , and identity proof for verification.

  8. Final Admission :

    • After successful document verification and payment of fees, you will be granted admission to the LLB program at JNU.

      Important Dates (Tentative):
  • Application Form Release : April-May 2025
  • Exam Date : May-June 2025
  • Result Declaration : June-July 2025
  • Counselling : July-August 2025

    Fee Structure:

The fee for the LLB program at JNU is generally affordable and varies depending on the course structure and the number of students. You can check the exact fee structure once the admission process begins on the official website.

Career Opportunities After LLB:

  • Law Firms : You can work as an associate in top law firms.
  • Judiciary : Prepare for judicial exams to become a judge.

  • Corporate Sector : Many companies hire law professionals for compliance and legal advisory.

  • Public Sector : You can join government organizations, public sector undertakings, or take up civil services exams.

    Conclusion:

Since you already have a B.E. degree, you are eligible to apply for the LLB program at JNU. You will need to clear the JNUEE entrance exam and follow the steps mentioned for securing admission. Focus on preparation and stay updated with the official JNU portal for any changes in the admission process.

Distance se diploma in civil engineering ke liye kitna fee lagega

Anuska Bakuly 21st Jan, 2025

Hello,

In India, there are only a few institutions that offer a Diploma in Civil Engineering through distance education, such as the National Institute of Business Studies .

However, it's crucial to understand that the University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB) does not currently recognize diploma programs in Civil Engineering that are delivered via distance learning. As a result, opting for this diploma in a traditional classroom setting is a more appropriate and widely accepted choice .

The fees for a distance diploma program in Civil Engineering can differ based on the institution. Typically, the total cost for such a course falls between INR 20,000 and INR 75,000.

If you're thinking about enrolling in this course, it's wise to seek out institutions that provide regular diploma programs recognized by the UGC or other accreditation bodies. Always verify the program's credibility and fee details directly with the institution to ensure a smooth educational experience.

hello sir I am a B. Tech student of civil and i just got my result and i got 44 marks in environmental studies and they still have marked me fail and no G.P.A is also not given what should i do sir ? i just want to know is what is the passing criteria for environmental studies

kumardurgesh1802 21st Jan, 2025

Hello there,

For Environmental Studies in most universities, the passing criteria usually involve:

  1. Minimum Marks Required : Typically, students need to score at least 40% or 50% in the subject to pass. It can vary based on the specific university or course guidelines.

  2. GPA Calculation : If you’ve been marked as failed and no GPA has been given, it could be due to not meeting the minimum passing marks or failing to submit required assignments or exams.

    What you should do:

  • Check with Your University : Reach out to your university's exam office or your course coordinator to confirm the exact passing criteria for Environmental Studies.

  • Reappearing for the Exam : If you have failed, ask about the process for reappearing for the exam or if there are any supplementary exams available.

  • Review the Grading Policy : Sometimes, if you don't meet the minimum marks but have a near-passing score, there might be an opportunity for a re-evaluation.

Make sure to clarify with the concerned department about the revaluation or supplementary exam process, if applicable.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

I have studied btech in civil engineering, but I had written GATE in Computer science paper. Am i eligible for DRDO through GATE if I have valid GATE score

vinayak kansal 19th Jan, 2025

For the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) discipline, DRDO requires candidates to have at least a First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology specifically in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent fields.

Your Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree is in Civil Engineering, it does not align with the required educational qualifications for the Computer Science & Engineering discipline as stipulated by DRDO. Therefore, even with a valid GATE score in Computer Science, you would not meet the eligibility criteria for DRDO's Scientist 'B' positions in the CSE discipline.

Your B.Tech. in Civil Engineering makes you eligible for DRDO positions in the Civil Engineering discipline, provided you have a valid GATE score in Civil Engineering.

Can i pursue b tech in civil engineering after pursuing diploma in architecture assistant

Vanshika Agarwal 16th Jan, 2025

Yes, you can pursue a B.Tech in Civil Engineering after completing a Diploma in Architectural Assistantship. Most universities offer lateral entry programs for diploma holders. You can directly enter the second year of the B.Tech program. Admission is usually based on merit or entrance exams. Some universities may allow direct entry into the first year of B.Tech. This depends on the university's policies and your academic record.
