Hello there,

Yes, you are eligible for direct second-year admission to a civil engineering diploma program after completing your 10th, 12th, and ITI.

Many polytechnic colleges offer lateral entry into the second year of diploma programs for students who have completed a relevant diploma or ITI course.

Here are the steps you can take:

  1. Research Colleges: Identify polytechnic colleges in your region that offer civil engineering diploma programs and have lateral entry options.

  2. Check Eligibility Criteria: Contact the colleges directly to inquire about their specific eligibility criteria for lateral entry.

  3. Gather Documents: Prepare all necessary documents, including your 10th, 12th, and ITI certificates, mark sheets, and any other required documents.

  4. Apply for Admission: Submit your application within the stipulated deadline.

The admission process might involve an entrance exam or merit-based selection. Be sure to check the specific requirements of the colleges you're interested in.

Remember , while you might be eligible for lateral entry, the availability of seats and competition can vary. It's advisable to apply to multiple colleges to increase your chances of admission.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

I have got 47 percentile in jee mains and 87 percentage in 12th I am from mp and an ews student too. In female quota can I get civil in rec

Kanishka kaushikii 3rd Sep, 2024

The chances of getting admission to REC (Regional Engineering College) with a 47 percentile in JEE Mains and 87% in 12th, even as an EWS female student, are slim. RECs typically have higher cutoffs for admission.

However, the exact cutoffs can vary depending on several factors:

  • State-specific cutoffs: RECs in different states may have varying cutoffs.
  • Branch preference: Cutoffs for civil engineering might be higher compared to other branches.
  • Number of applicants: The number of applicants for RECs can also influence cutoffs.

To improve your chances of admission, you might consider the following:

  • Participate in the counseling process: Even if your rank is lower, participating in the counseling process might lead to unexpected opportunities.
  • Explore other options: Consider other engineering colleges or branches that might be more accessible with your rank.
  • Prepare for other entrance exams: If you're interested in pursuing engineering, consider preparing for other entrance exams like BITSAT or VITEEE.

While it's challenging to predict the exact outcome, it's advisable to explore all available options and participate in the counseling process.

I hope this information helps you.

I have got 47 percentile in jee mains and 87 percentage in 12th I am from mp and an ews student too. In female quota can I get civil in rec

Shrutika Wahane 3rd Aug, 2024

Hello there,

According to your percentile, your rank would be around 50,000 or above. It will be difficult for you to get a good government college with this rank and percentile. Your class 12th marks is not the selection criteria of any engineering college. And there is no female quota. There can be single child or daughter quota in some colleges.

You can predict your college using Careers360 JEE MAIN Predictor.

Hello , i am Shashikant Shukla a civil engineering working proffessional working as planning Manager i want to switch my career from construction industry to Investment Banking & finance so will it be good decision regarding my career in broader perspective ?

monag2673 9th Aug, 2024

Switching from construction to investment banking is a significant career change. While it's certainly possible, it requires careful consideration and preparation.

Investment banking demands a strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial markets.

Your experience in construction, while valuable in terms of project management and problem-solving, might not directly translate to the required skill set.

To make an informed decision, assess your interest in finance, willingness to acquire new knowledge, and potential career path within investment banking. Consider pursuing additional qualifications like an MBA or relevant certifications to bridge the gap. Networking with professionals in the industry can also provide valuable insights.

Ultimately, the decision depends on your career aspirations and willingness to invest time and effort in acquiring new skill

hope this helps you!!

Hy,

To clear the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) civil services examination , it's important to understand that the RBI conducts competitive exams primarily for positions like Grade B officers and Assistant positions . These exams are not directly part of the UPSC Civil Services Examination but have their own specific requirements.

Steps to Clear RBI Exams:

  1. Education Requirements :

    • For RBI Grade B Officer , the minimum educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    • For RBI Assistant , a bachelor's degree is also required with at least 50% marks.
  2. Focus Areas in Studies :

    • Since you're in Class 10 now, focus on building a strong foundation in subjects like Mathematics , English , and General Awareness . These are crucial for competitive exams.
    • After completing Class 12 , you can pursue graduation in any stream, though degrees in Commerce , Economics , or Management can be particularly useful for RBI exams.
  3. Exam Pattern :

    • The RBI Grade B exam is divided into three phases :
      1. Preliminary Exam : Tests general awareness, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and English.
      2. Main Exam : Focuses on economic and social issues, finance, management, and English.
      3. Interview : For final selection.
  4. Preparation :

    • Start by reading newspapers daily to stay updated on current affairs.
    • Develop your reasoning and analytical skills, which are key components of competitive exams.
    • Once you're in college, consider joining coaching classes for banking exams to get focused guidance.

Key Tips:

  • Stay consistent with your studies and have a clear plan for graduation.
  • Building strong analytical and verbal skills from now will give you a significant advantage when preparing for RBI exams later.

By focusing on a solid academic foundation and being consistent with your preparation, you'll be well on your way to cracking the RBI exam.
