my EWS rank in JEE main 2024 is 24099 to get any NIT at possible at CSC , ECE, civil group

Satvik 29th Sep, 2024

Hi

hope you are doing well

While having EWS rank of 24,099 in JEE Main 2024, securing a seat in top NITs or IIITs, especially in core branches like CSE, might be challenging. However, you still have a chance in some newer or lower-ranked NITs and IIITs, especially in less competitive branches:

  • NIT Arunachal Pradesh
  • NIT Meghalaya
  • NIT Mizoram
  • NIT Nagaland
  • NIT Sikkim
  • NIT Manipur

Some IIIt's:

  • IIIT Una
  • IIIT Bhagalpur
  • IIIT Bhopal
  • IIIT Ranchi
  • IIIT Dharwad
  • IIIT Lucknow (non-core branches)

Since you belong to the EWS category, you should participate in the JoSAA counseling process and track cutoffs for these institutes, as there may be opportunities in the later rounds.

I have completed my Diploma in Civil Engineering last year. Can I apply for this course ?

Akansha Sharma 3rd Dec, 2024

Yes, you can apply for a Bachelor’s degree course after completing your Diploma in Civil Engineering. Many universities and colleges offer lateral entry programs for diploma holders, allowing you to directly join the second year of a B.Tech or B.E. in Civil Engineering. You may need to appear for an entrance exam or meet the eligibility criteria set by the respective institute. Check with the specific institutions for their lateral entry admission process and requirements.

Hello Rupali

With 68% in diploma whether you will get engineering seat in navi mumbaibut which branch of engineering you will get  depends upon cut off 2024 of the college .

Cut off changes every year abd depends upon various factors tors such as number of students appeared in exam, Toughness level of exam,  previous year's cut off  and seat intake etc .

Eligibility  criteria for engineering is to have passed class xii or diploma in engineering with 50% marks from any reputed university .
