I got 71,711 in comedk exam , will I get civil engineering in NIE mysore

Vasundhra 9th Jun, 2025

Dear Candidate ,
With a COMEDK 2025 rank of 71,711, you have a decent chance of getting Civil Engineering at NIE Mysore , particularly in the second or subsequent rounds of counselling . Based on previous cutoff trends , the Round 1 closing rank for Civil at NIE Mysore was around 32,000 but in Round 2 , it extended up to around 75,000. Since your rank is within that range , admission is possible but not guaranteed. Your chances will depend on seat availability, number of applicants above you , and how many students opt out or shift to other choices.

Which is correct option (graduate A, B, C, D) for Btech in Civil engineering (bachelor)candidates to apply AFCAT.

lisa 6th Jun, 2025

For a B.Tech in Civil Engineering (bachelor) candidate applying for AFCAT, the correct option is Graduate Option D .

Explanation:

AFCAT eligibility:

AFCAT requires a Bachelor's degree in any discipline (or B.Tech) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.

Engineering Graduates:

Engineers (B.Tech) are specifically mentioned as eligible under a graduate category, which is option D according to Quora.

Civil Engineering:

Since Civil Engineering is a B.Tech degree, it falls under the engineering graduate category, thus making option D the correct choice.

Option D:

Option D is specifically designed for engineering graduates. It allows you to mention your degree and specify your engineering discipline (Civil Engineering).

I got 80 marks and 1038 rank in cgpet... can i get gec raipur or bilaspur civil engineering obc category

Anushree Thakare 14th Jun, 2025

Hello,

It is mostly not possible that you will get a seat in Civil Engineering at GEC Raipur or Bilaspur with a CGPET score of 80 and a rank of 1038 , especially in the OBC category.

While your score is above the passing marks (around 10% of the total) the competition for these popular branches in these specific colleges is high .

Consider exploring other colleges or branches within the CG PET system that might be a better fit for your score and rank . You should also investigate other options, such as participating in further counseling rounds and exploring alternative branches within GEC Raipur and Bilaspur .

Thank you!!

Anybody please help me , I got my preparatory st rank 228 in jee advanced 2025 and I am male candidate any chance to get any IIT core branch ( mechanical , civil and electrical ) acc. to previous year analysis and pleas dont give me fake hope

Tanisha chaudhary 6th Jun, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

  1. With a Preparatory ST rank of 228 in JEE Advanced 2025, realistically, your prospects for securing admission to core branches such as Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering at established IITs are quite slim .
  2. Historically, ST category seats for these core disciplines are filled by candidates with much lower ranks, often under 100.
  3. Preparatory ranks are only considered if there are vacancies after all eligible ST candidates have been allotted seats, which is uncommon—especially for high-demand branches.
  4. Typically, these opportunities arise in newer or less sought-after IITs and in branches that aren’t as competitive.

  • In summary, while admission to Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at the older IITs is highly unlikely with your current preparatory rank, you may find options in non-core branches or at recently established IITs .
  • It’s important to keep expectations realistic and consider alternative branches or institutions.

My jee mains rank is 185000 approx can I get civil engineering in davv indore

Akansha Sharma 1st Jun, 2025

With a JEE Main rank of about 185,000, getting Civil Engineering at DAVV Indore is tough if you are in the General category because the cutoff is usually lower. But if you belong to the ST category, you might have a chance because their cutoff is higher. You should participate in the Madhya Pradesh state counseling and check other colleges too. Also, keep backup options like other branches or private colleges ready. Good luck!

My jee mains rank is 185000 approx can I get civil engineering in davv indore

harsh singh 29th May, 2025

With a JEE Main rank of ~1,85,000, getting Civil Engineering at IET DAVV Indore is unlikely for General and OBC categories, as the 2024 cutoff was around 1.57 lakh.

However, SC/ST category candidates have a good chance, since their cutoffs go beyond your rank.

Next steps:

Apply through MP DTE counselling

Consider other MP colleges or branches with higher cutoffs like Mechanical or IT.

Hello,

Civil engineering is all about designing, building, and maintaining structures like buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and canals. It mainly includes:

  • Construction – building houses, buildings, roads, etc.

  • Structural Engineering – making strong and safe structures.

  • Transportation Engineering – planning roads, highways, airports, etc.

  • Geotechnical Engineering – studying soil and rocks for construction.

  • Water Resources Engineering – dealing with dams, canals, drainage, and water supply.

  • Environmental Engineering – controlling pollution and waste management.

  • Surveying – measuring land and making maps.

So, civil engineers work on many things we use daily.

Hope it helps !
