What is cloud computing? Is it important

Daliya Roy 22nd Jun, 2022

Private, public, and hybrid cloud deployment models exist.

Private cloud is a cloud environment dedicated to a single business, with components stored on-premises or at a vendor's datacenter. Private cloud offers control because it's only accessible to one business. Custom architecture, advanced security protocols, and the ability to expand virtualized computing resources are advantages.

Many companies maintain a private cloud infrastructure on-site and deliver cloud computing services via the intranet. In other cases, the company hires a cloud vendor to host and maintain off-site servers. Internet-based public cloud stores and manages data and apps. Virtualization provides a shared-resources environment. The flexibility to pay for cloud resources as required is a big benefit over local servers in the public cloud deployment strategy.

Public cloud providers provide strong security to prevent other tenants from accessing customer data. Hybrid cloud mixes private and public cloud models, enabling enterprises to use current IT infrastructure for security. The hybrid cloud strategy lets firms keep secret data locally and access it via public cloud apps.

A company might keep sensitive customer data in a private cloud and execute resource-intensive computing in the public cloud to comply with privacy rules. Businesses may also employ several public cloud services (multi-cloud) This method may be used to spread workloads over several cloud platforms, optimizing performance, flexibility, and cost.

What is cloud computing and what is scope of cloud computing in isro

Parthib Basu 26th Aug, 2018

Hi Mayank,

Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable system resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet. Cloud computing relies on sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economies of scale, similar to a public utility.

You have great scope in ISRO for cloud computing as this field is not explored much and research in this field will be appreciated.

Thank you and best of luck.

Which coures is better iT or computer science

Akshita Rawat 13th Jul, 2018

Heyy!!!

CSE(Computer Science & Engineering) and IT (Information technology) both are quite similar in some or the other manner. I always have come across students who are confused between these two fields because of the lack of the understanding of the minute differences and similarities between the two engineering streams.

CSE: Computer science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.

IT: Information Technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to store, protect process, transmit and securely retrieve data. IT professionals perform a variety of tasks that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases.

The major  difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications. To make it short and simple, Computer Science is the creation of software and hardware by using different programming skills. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.

Difference in course and core areas:

CSE: Computer Science engineering students study about design, implementation, and management of information system of both software and hardware processes. Students pursuing computer science study: Algorithms and Data Structure, Architecture, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Database and Information Retrieval, Human-Computer Communication, Numerical and Symbolic Computation, Operating Systems, Programming Languages and Software Methodology and Engineering.

IT: Information Technology deals with installation, development and implementation of computer systems and applications. Under this stream, students learn the following: Data Structures and Algorithms, Microprocessors and Interfacing, Computer Communication and Networking, Database Systems, Internet Technologies and Applications, Software Engineering etc.

Career scope:

CSE: Job openings for Software professionals is much higher in the corporate sector than in public sector. Professionals can join as junior programmer, database administrator, junior network manager, Data Analyst, Software Developer, Software Engineer, and Client-Server Systems Manager etc in the initial stage. What is the future in cloud technolgy?

Ishaan Chaudhary 22nd Jun, 2022

Cloud computing jobs are expected to rise by 5% in the next decade, making it one of the fastest-growing occupations. In other words, if you're considering a career in this field, there are plenty of opportunities. In addition, a wide range of specializations are available, such as operations development, solution architecture, security, advanced networking, DevOps, and Big Data, to name just a few.   In fact, I was looking for an institute that could help me advance my career by offering a Cloud Computing and SysOps Program. When it comes to where I spend my time and money, I'm very particular about where I invest my time and money.

In general, I thought the NIIT was the best because of the wide range of programs they offer. There are numerous educational options available to ensure that students understand the subject matter completely. My confidence in claiming that this institute's curriculum teaches all of the necessary skills is unwavering. Students are able to gain a lot of hands-on experience thanks to their student-centered teaching style. A certificate from a reputable institution is usually a good idea to include on your CV. Finally, you'll have a job waiting for you once the program is over, so you can put your newfound skills to good use right away.
