As an Airliner pilot your knowledge shall be updated every time.
If you get enough experience,you may change your country and work for another airline in another country that you would like and experience other peoples cultures.
Disadvantages
Body clock could get disturbed.
May you have to stay away from family if the base is changed.
You can face the problem finding the first airline to hire initial pilot ,lower salary at the first.

3- After obtaining the necessary flight hours, applicants 18 years or older can complete the rest of the requirements for a commercial pilot's license from the federal government. Pilots must pass a physical examination to ensure they have good vision and hearing as well as no physical impairments that might interfere with flight performance. Candidates must also pass a written exam that includes safety information and a skills test that is observed by an FAA-certified instructor.

In oder to become commercial pilot you must have degree of 2 years. Commercial pilots must be 23 years old and have a minimum of 1,500 flight hours logged. Must log 250 hours of flying time and pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) practical test for licensing; Certification required to work for commercial airlines.
