Hello Nandini,
Hope you are doing great. You need not be a graduate to become a commercial pilot i.e. a bachelor's degree is not necessarily required to be an airline pilot.
However, some airlines do require it, while others do not. Therefore, having a degree will give you greater options. Also, a degree would leave you in a better position if a medical issue were to prevent you from flying professionally.
Hope this helps.
Hi, most of the aspirants like to take up 12th science PCM as subjects and later on directly join flying school. They directly take up B.Sc. in Aviation. However, there are certain criteria's that you should keep in mind. First is 50% in 12th Science. Also, the minimum age limit to apply for student pilot license is 16 years. Later on you will have to appear for exams that consist of oral examination. Once you are done with 250 hours of flying minimum you can apply for Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Also to keep in mind that these courses are not really pocket friendly but, you do have a great return on investment. As, this is the path everyone takes it is very difficult to gather more information on after engineering. So, my best would be for you to get into it after 12th and not wait any further. All the best!
