Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 26th Aug, 2021

hi,

see Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University Of Science And Technology is a technical university, basically the candidates from tech background first opt for campus placement , so the college selection is most important, however if your choice is only for competitive exam like upsc IAS, ssc cgl etc once completing your bachelors , you should study in nearest college, it would save your transportation time and you can utilize the time for extra studies or building aptitude, gk power.

so I think you are right about your next plan of career.

all the best for your future endeavor.

Iam studying btect 2nd year in my own town college Is there any common competitive exams to write like before Olampiyads ?

Abhishek Roy 11th Jun, 2021

As such you dont have any Competitive Examinations or Olympiads, but you do have mamy Industry Competitions sponsored by various Industries like Flipkart, Bajaj, Tata Steel, GE and others. Winning such competitions, not only gives you a Acclamation and Accolade, but in many cases being among Finalists or Winners gives you a chance to secure a PPI/PPO.

Besides these, there are many Inter College Competitions, which are highly interesting.

Secondly, if youre into Coding, Data Analytics and Technical Stuff like CAD/Design, Robotics, there are lots of Opportunities including Hackathons, Competitions and Events.

Of couse, in later years of Preparation, you may prepare for Competitive Exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC ESE or if youre into Finance, maybe for CFA/CFM.

May I know for general awareness but , with complete proof and fact , that which competitive exam , is the most toughest exam all over India ?

Khushi Goyal 14th Jul, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

Exams are a significant part of our education and besides testing the ability of the student, exams are important in instilling core skills like discipline, time management, hard work and patience.

In various fields, we have exams that are hard to clear. Some are listed below:

  • UPSC Civil Services Exam -It is one of the most prestigious and hardest exams because of the number of candidates that appear for the exam (Over 10 lakh candidates appear for UPSC Prelims every year) and the large amount of syllabus. Also, the entire selection process of this exam is extremely rigorous, it contains different rounds such as Prelims, Mains and Interview.
  • IIT JEE -IIT JEE is also considered one of the hardest exams because the syllabus is endless and the questions that appear in the exam are all application-based and meant to challenge the candidate’s proficiency and understanding of the main subjects. Every year, more than 6 lakh candidates appears for the exam and only the top 2.50 lakh qualified for JEE Advanced.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) - CA aspirants must clear all the levels such as Common Proficiency Test (CPT), Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and CA Final Examination in order to become a CA. Because, these levels are extremely tough to crack and require extensive planning and hard work, this exam is considered tough.
  • NEET UG - NEET UG is considered one of the hardest, most competitive exams in India. Over 15 lakh candidates registers for NEET-UG every year. This exam is hard because the syllabus is huge and students must start preparing for the exam during their 12th if they want to crack it.
  • AIIMS UG- AIIMS UG is considered tough because the number of applicants is very high while the number of seats offered by the organizing body is limited. Every year, the difficulty level of the questions is increased to ensure that only the most qualified candidates makes the cutoff.
  • Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - GATE is considered extremely competitive because a huge number of candidates give this exam annually and limited seats are available, for instance, if 7 lakh candidates appears then only 1.5 lakh candidates are qualified for the exam. It tests the candidate’s knowledge of the B.Tech./B.E curriculum.
  • National Defence Academy (NDA) - NDA is a tough exam because the candidates have to qualify for a written exam with a vast syllabus as well as a psychological aptitude test and an intelligence test. Candidates need to be physically fit to be considered for final admission.
  • Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) - It is one of the toughest entrance exams for law in India. The exam’s vast curriculum and a huge number of candidates give this exam to get admission in the top law colleges. This makes the exam extremely tough and competitive.
  • UGC NET - Over 6 lakh candidates appears for the UGC NET exam and only 40,000 thousand candidates are able to qualify for the exam. This is because, the paper 1 which is the common paper for all subjects is extremely competitive and challenging.
  • National Institute of Design Entrance Exam - NID is considered a tough exam because it is highly competitive and the questions in its general paper are tricky and the creative section is highly subjective. The creative section’s questions can be challenging and time-consuming.

Ive a big query if Im in an integrated Msc course that is 3 years of bachelor degree and 2 years of PG can i give competitive exam such like UPSC,CDS,DRDO Etc. after that 3 years of bachelor degree? and in this course shall they give us bachelor degree certificate after that 3 years

pdwords Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2021

Hello,

Yes, there are universities like University of Hyderabad, Guru Nanak Dev University(Amritsar) which offers an exit option after completion of bachelor's degree while pursuing integrated MSc course and candidates are accordingly awarded the bachelor's degree only, so prior to applying for any university you must check out the eligibility criteria, if the eligibility criteria of any competitive exams specifies to have passed bachelor's degree then definitely you will be eligible to apply for the same after completion of graduation, however the subject stream or combinations may differ as in case of CDS, for OTA/IMA any bachelor's degree from a recognized university is accepted however for INA BTech or BE is required and for AFA bachelor's degree in any discipline but having maths and physics at 10+2 level or BTech/BE is applicable, also if you're so eager to appear for these competitive exams then you should consider pursuing graduate degree only, if you don't want to go for higher  studies after bachelor's degree then there is no point in pursuing integrated MSc course, anyway it's completely your own decision as I said prior to applying for any university go through the eligibility criteria and accordingly decide what you want to do, in case you want to keep more options available then go for the complete duration of integrated MSc Course, you will be eligible for all competitive exams based on the eligibility criteria of graduation, and also if you have interest to pursue a career in research/academia then you may appear for CSIR NET to qualify JRF or lectureship, or you can appear for SETs at state level to become assistant professor, many PSUs also recruit based on qualifying CSIR NET.
