I passed second year bsc in 2019 as a regular student but I had one year gap in 2020 as a ex regular student for clearing supplementary paper in one subject and now in 2020 I will be continuing my third year in bsc as a session 2020-21 will it create problem in giving competitive exam

pdwords Student Expert 12th Dec, 2020

Hello,

If you're enquiring regarding appearing for government exams then most of it has eligibility criteria of passed graduation in any discipline, hence as long as you have cleared all the back logs, you are eligible to apply for the same, though you may be asked about this in interview session, but then it's nothing much to worry about, you must be confident in your abilities as you only reach to that stage after qualifying prior rounds of recruitment process, so just focus on completing your studies, if you're asked about your year gap by board panel then you have to handle the situation tactfully, and be self-assured , it's better to focus on now, as there isn't anything much that can be done about the past.

sir jo syllabus 12th me reduce hua h kya wo aage ki competitive exam m nhi pucha jayega ?? sir plz answer me my question

Shrishty sahu 10th Dec, 2020

Dear student,

Competitive exams have many extra topics that are not included in board examination. The questions asked are quite tough from the ones that are asked in boards. The reduction of the syllabus of these competitive exams depends on the decision of the authorities that conduct them. It is not necessary that the syllabus might be reduced if it is reduced for boards.

What should I take as a career, engineering or law? I am a good student at school (pcm) but not ready to give competitive exam for b. tech colleges whereas I have keen interest in nations welfare and have good debating skills.

Neha Kanwar 18th Jan, 2021

Hello Khushi,

As it is well said that no one else can be a better judge for your career but you, it completely depends upon your interest area.

Engineering and Law are the two completely different fields and both have their own career prospects, scope and opportunities.

As you mentioned above that you are not willing to give any competitive exam and you hsve good debating skills, law it a good option for you.

But again it highly depends upon your interest at the end, so choose the one in which you really have interest for building career.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck!

i havent obtained obc or ncl certificate so far. though i come under both. So far non of my family member has ibtained it. My parents are born & bought in MP (Bhopal). In order to appear in competitive exam now I need it. Do i need to first obtain OBC & then NCL or it can be obtained together?

Anurag Khanna 9th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See there two sub-categories of OBC category, one is Creamy Layer and another is Non-Creamy Layer. So now let me make you clear that the person whose family income is above 8 Lakhs per annum, comes under OBC-Creamy Layer and treated as General candidate because there is no any reservation for Creamy Layer sub-category of OBC but the person whose family income is less than 8 Lakhs per annum and belongs to OBC category then he/she will be considered for OBC-Non Creamy Layer and he/she will get all the advantages of 27% reservation for OBC category.

Now if we talk about the certificate so there is only one certificate for OBC and that is for OBC-NCL. There is no certificate for OBC-Creamy Layer because they are treated as General candidates. So you have to only apply for OBC certificate.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
